My heart wants me to buy this sooooo bad, but my head keeps telling me it will look ridiculous on me...If Steeldive down sized the whole package, I think they would get a lot more sales, but hats off to them for producing something so different. Thanks Gary for bringing it to our attention.

I just bought a watch with 1000m water resistance and it's 14.15mm thick so if the Steeldive really can withtstand 2500bar (25,000m) pressure then at 22.6mm it's relatively thin 😅

i have a 260gm 1000m "non-diver". 18mm thick (glass 5mm) but plain convex bezel which matches the curve of the glass so it seems thinner. The case is balanced by a 22mm non tapering solid link bracelet to it actually wears OK.

I don't know... just received my Helm Komodo so between a knoc..homage, (sorry!) and a true tested diver's 300m, I prefer Helm. I have few Steeldive, and it's a rollercoaster of qc. Where I know Helm will back me up anytime. And even with the insane wait time, I would still pick Helm. The last thing is, I don't know.. Steeldive always seems to miss few design cues, which would make them in a true homage category. When you look at H2O, it looks great, but this one is meh, too much misproportions.. Great video though! Thank you.

If you want a comparison to this Big Boy, compare it side-by-side to an Invicta HYDROMAX. Due to the overall spec's the HYDROMAX is a better balanced ⌚.
    Some of the spec's:
    Case: 52mm
    Thickness: 26mm - 29mm
    Lug width: 24mm
    Lug to lug: 65mm
    Water resistance: 1000m
Standard: Form fitted S/S bracelet with milled clasp and dive suit quick adjuster.
    Weight: 370g - 454g (depending on model.
Movement: Automatic, Swiss Quartz, Swiss Quartz GMT
    Price: $90 - $500 (depending on model/edition)
The weight of the bracelet & clasp do a decent job of balancing out the HYDROMAX on the wrist. Due to the overall dimensions of the HYDROMAX, it doesn't look as top heavy as the featured ⌚.

Just the one thing to note (mine arrived a couple of weeks ago and I love it, it's every bit as mad as it looks) in the video you say "it's a very accurate homage" it's not especially; on the dial the number 10 (in the H2O original) belongs on their 16000m diver, hence 10, as in 10 miles depth rating. This is supposed to be the deeper diving 25000m version, so they've got the wrong dial on it. Maybe they'll fix that in future iterations.

A very convincing paperweight, but not really pretty enough for me. Is the paperweight it is copying any better?

That bezel insert looks so flimsy and out of place with the oversized indexes and hands. They really should have DLC coated the whole bezel and put simple lines or hashes at 5 minute marks. No numbers on the bezel.

I loved the other uses part of the video but despite the versatility I’ll pass on this one.
