In this clip, GMK spoke about beef in Jacksonville, and he explained that it’s good for helping rappers get their name out and get exposure. He then added that it also gives authorities in the city to go after rappers or other people involved in beefs in the city, and GMK said that they have incentive to take down rappers. GMK then spoke about rapper Ksoo being in jail with him, and he added that he believes the news is exploiting the situation. GMK added that he thinks Ksoo will beat his case, and he believes that rappers being targeted is a trend right now. When asked about Jacksonville rappers Foolio and Yungeen Ace, GMK stated that he’s not sure about the details of the situation. He added that he’s not been involved in Jacksonville for a while, and GMK went on to address a statement he made about Spottem Gottem and Foolio paving the way for the city. GMK explained that his statement was taken out of context, and he added that he’s glad people in the city are making noise. From there, GMK shared a story about being in jail with Spottem Gottem’s uncle, and he also spoke about his last conversation with Ksoo. When asked about news that Ksoo’s father is supposed to testify against him, GMK revealed that he was in jail with him as well. GMK then explained that the news twisted the information, which you can hear more about above.

It's crazy how smart, but dumb a person can be. That really shows intelligence is everywhere, but the environment really determines how that intelligence is guided. I hope this dude wakes up to the real potential he has, I could see him lasting for a while and setting up his life nicely, just from this interview alone.

Can someone help me out? If a rapper takes some of his legitimately earned cash from rapping and blesses his homies from back home and they in turn use that money to enable future crimes, without that rapper's direct knowledge, can they be hit with the RICO statute? If they can, that's super messed up...
it depends what’s proven. if the defense can prove it wasn’t used for illegal means, then they will be safe. but if they see a stream of money from the rapper to the street dudes and it ends up being used illegally, it’s going to look bad for the rapper.
@@joeymccarthy5131 Man that RICO statute is a hurt piece. Most of these rappers come from impoverished areas. Of course they are going to want to help their day one's when they finally get $. If there is no direct knowledge of those funds being tied up in criminal actions, then the source of those funds shouldn't be able to be included in an indictment. I feel like racketeering is a broad, and often vague, concept that is used sometimes by prosecutors when they are unable to secure enough evidence to charge a group with other more specific criminal activity. Conspiracy is used the same way. And RICO uses both those concepts under one umbrella to punish groups they feel need to be locked away.
