- a response to @centenohome 's video entitled "what is slipping rib syndrome" during which he makes a number of false and misleading claims, including a completely false definition and description of SRS, a claim that "costal cartilage rarelh breaks but if it did it would be visible on MRI" (broken costal cargilage is in fact THE very defjnition of SRS, and it WILL not show on MRI. he also recommends osteopathic and chiropractic manipulation, which would cause further damage, and spends a few seconds discussing "surgery I found on google" (The Hansen procedure). He then states that "surgery isn't necessary" when in fact, surgery is the only proven method of permanant relief/correction. this doctor has been investigated by the FDA and the court of the district of colombianfor making false claims previously. this infornation is available in the public domain. for peer reviewed puboications from doctors across the globe, and definitions of what STS is and how it can be diagnosed and treated, visit slippingribsyndrome.org
An excellent response I came across this at time of posting and added comments that this information was false and lacking any credibility. Centeno says a suture solution (Hansen technique) I had myself is not necessary and seeks to promote his own injection solution for this and other medical conditions, so I agree he is a quack and cannot be trusted. Needless to say my comments were immediately taken down and I am so glad you took the time to respond. Clearly a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing in the wrong hands. Keep up the good work and your website has been both informative and supportive for this chronic syndrome, the surgical solution for which I have only come to after many years.

You are absolutely right. I also had slipping rib syndrome and had both a resection and had my ribs stitched on and a plate to reattach. Dr Centeno I watched his video and the information on his video should be taken down it is not true. Thank you for doing this video. You are right on all that imaging. I believe he is just trying to get business for himself.

Sir I've watched you for nearly a yr now and I must say you seem great id love to know how are u now I'm 13 months on and am ok but still get pain sometimes daily I've had a CT scan and it doesn't show the ends of my ribs so I'm having an x-ray tomorrow they won't allow me to have a MRI hopefully I'll find out soon what's wrong the fight for a diagnosis continue s 🙏
