About me:
I'm Aiden and I'm documenting what was supposed to be my barn conversion, which has now ended up being a new build. I don't have a trade, I just have a go and I'll be doing lots of work myself. Great idea this. Agree with the plumb bob theory. 👍
Love your videos keep them coming, I’d like you to do more tool reviews👍👍👍👍👍
Love the Aiden twins! I'd love either of these laser levels.
Always great to see your videos. I’d say the 3 lasers would be best for tiling etc can see nice crisp lines on all walls and floor at the same time. Great idea with the remote when using a staff and receiver can switch each off as you move about.
Keep up the great work. 👍👍
Nice clear line, especially for tiling!
Are you entering Barry? If so you may have missed the 3rd rule 😉
Good luck with this lovely giveaway and your plans for directing traffic. I like what you showed about the plumb bob features of the 3x360. Gonna give that a lot of thought as I have to redo a botched shed on our new property (we call it 'the shack' at the moment) and that may be a very useful tool. Thanks for reviewing it. 👍
And adding a comment on this video for the giveaway.
Seriously great videos!
Same as you, can only imagine the extra diode being useful in a plumb bob framing situation. I'd be happy with either. I'm about to install new fencing at my place so a laser would be extremely useful (especially a green one)
I guess the extra laser could help with planning/layout of wires/plumbing etc. Or maybe trying to blind 3 enemies in 3 different directions at the same time :)
more lines the better would come in handy tiling my kitchen mrs chasing me to get it done
love the vids
love your channel, been following for a while now! I Am doing an extension on an old 2up 2down cottage and always on the lookout for guidance with one thing or another! :) To be honest, not much experience with laser levels but in the market for one, I think it will be useful installing my kitchen making sure its square and level on all sides. Also the wife will never moan that her picture frames aren't put up perfectly level!
Hahaha loved the start of the video!
Thanks dude
I think the third would be used for setting out head of and sole plate for framing walls. Perhaps for first fix plumbing too.
Been watching your videos for a while - about to embark on my own agricultural shed / barn self build so a laser would be super helpful!! Hoping to document our build so maybe talk collab! Keep the vids coming!
Camera tip is ace. I don’t think you need the extra dimension, but the quality of the line is reason enough for me
The 3 x 360 is for simultaneous horizontal and vertical levelling around the entire room. When building floors, laying drainage pipes and laying tiles, I think. Great video btw 👍🏻
I don't own a cat, but if I owned 3 they would need a laser each
As you said framing walls is the reason that came to my mind. Plus more is usually better right?
As with other things twos company threes a novelty. Great vids and more power to Arthur 👍
An interior designer would find the 3 laser one extremely useful, especially in odd spaces. In a way they are ment to think in a 3d perspective and to have visual lines on all sides provides a good guidance in the layout of the space but I believe it also helps in splitting a space in quadrants without needing some fancy 3d scanning gear.
While the 2 x 360 can help square anything you lay, the 3 x 360 can do that and check for level of what you lay. So I think it'd be really useful to lay a course of bricks - you can square the wall and check every course is level, all with one device. That's pretty cool.
I like the fact that you can use the 3x360 as a plumb-bob. You can switch each laser off manually if you want to, so you can use them in any combination. Please enter me in the draw.
I can see the 3 x 360 being useful for running electrics, permitted routes etc although that does depend on how you can orientate it but definitely having two verticals would be useful. Also just discovered the channel and been doing my own block and beam extension so these videos are proving very helpful
Cool, curious to know how you came across my channel?
@@THE-AIDEN-PROJECT I had “tradesmen” installer cavity closers on the bifold opening and do a shoddy job that thankfully the fitters sorted. Old external door I’ve got to reline as an internal door so need to fit some and you came up as first result, nice to find someone that puts time and effort into doing it properly
Better colour and case sounds like a reason in itself to pay the extra for the 3 360 if anything, depending on how much extra of course 😁
The 3-360 would have been very useful when I laid my conservatory flooring, to give me 2 straight edges (90 degrees) to work from. As it happened, the final tiles I laid were slightly off and I had to cut around 1mm from the edge to fit them in. Now I'm about to embark on re-doing the kitchen.
Very professional video
I try 😁 are you entering the giveaway? I think I'm missing you on the 3rd rule 🤔
The 3rd laser surely only useful when running something continuous from wall to floor. Although rare I have had to tile in a similar way a couple times before
Thaaaaaaanksss
3 is better than 2 because you get one more. I used a crosshair laser level, you get creative with it but you need the locking pendulum.
I don’t even have a 2 beam laser, but I would say the 3 beam is good for projecting into a corner, or a 3 dimensional shape… for cubic objects. If I visualise mentally, I’d be thinking about a corner unit in a kitchen or a bathroom, a washing machine or fridge etc. Maybe if you’re building something around it. I bet it’s one of those things you’d rarely use - but when you do, very useful. ✌🏼
Three lasers give you access to another dimension 👽
Plumb, square and level with a 3 x 360 in one hit! Superb for setting out multiple framing walls, and for tiling setting out your tiling if doing multiple walls and floors! Keep up the vids 👍
Hey dude, you've won the 2x360! I just done the draw, bit later than intended as I've been unwell. My email is in the description, send me your details over
@@THE-AIDEN-PROJECT ah brilliant!! Cheers mate I'm just getting ready to put the stud walls up so it will come in real handy!
🐵
I'm just boxing in a water tank. The walls are a bit wonky and there is a high 2.6 m ceiling. After watching your earlier video on levels I was going to get one, however, I decided to use a spirit level to try and get everything square before I screwed the battens to the wall, ceiling and floor. Guess what, it's not square grrrr. These levels would have been just the ticket to compensate for my cack handiness! The next job is a 5 x 6 m workshop in the garden and the 3 level option would be ideal for setting everything out once the floor has been built (and levelled). What with the cost of wood at the moment a nice freebie level would be gratefully received! Eddy
Just bought the 3x360 for installing pot lights in a room that is not square by a good bit …
6” off. Very frustrating to getting it right. It’s a 150 yr old house, and and the recommended positioning is extremely close to the joists… with a plaster ceiling. I don’t want to be making mistakes. My Bosch GLL-30 wasn’t up to the task. You can’t point (at least I don’t believe) the laser are the ceiling do the self living … it will just blink. So
I got this one on sale for $130 vs Dewalt/Milwaukee $500-600. Hope it works. I will just measure to inside of the line,
Since I hear it is a thicker line.
Cheers, nice video
3 is probably better for fitting kitchen cabinets
Well, Aiden - that was a super slick video - well played and well done. Made me smile. Hmmm a 2 360 or a 3 360? Will it help me build my outdoor fence? I’m stuck at the popping posts in the ground because my red laser is rubbish. I was planning on working after dark but this could solve all my problems :) I’m gonna have to research the advantages of one over the other. I worked for a laser company latterly too - the shame! Honestly, exceptional video!!
3 lasers are better than 2 because it’s better to have it and not need it than not having it and needing it.
Entertaining video!
Thanks Mark 👍 are you not entering the giveaway? There's 3 rules 😉
@@THE-AIDEN-PROJECT I already have a laser level, I'll let someone else have one, mind you, mine is red and the green looks much better.
@@markwilliams9793 no harm in entering though, after all its free 😁 I asked for 2 laser levels so I could give them away to people that support me and watch my boring videos 😂
3 laser for Setting out 90⁰ like a stud wall or brick work.
3.00 in why is there a pair of trousers just standing there in the middle of the room 😂
Haha it's from an intro that I ended up cutting out a few months after I released the video
Clarity of the 3360 line? For me looks much clearer - surely more impact at distance?
Yeah I'd much rather go for the 3 360 out of the 2
Just what I need after mine broke today 😥
You've got good odds at the moment 🤞
*There are 3 rules for the giveaway, make sure you do all 3* Good luck everyone
I want to spend as little time as possible using a laser level.
With a 3x360 level, I know I will be able to whip it out and quickly get a cross, level or plum on whatever plane I want, pack it away and get on with the job. No setting, locking, or mucking around versus a 2x360.
And, as everyone knows, you never discover you need that tool with the "extra feature" until it's 4:45pm on a Sunday and you know you wont make it to B&Q before they shut.
🙉
Hey dude, you've won the 3x360! I just done the draw, bit later than intended as I've been unwell. My email is in the description, send me your details over
@@THE-AIDEN-PROJECT Awesome, thanks! Have emailed you from my randroid mail account.
If only it came with a receiver 😆
which one has a finer lazer line for paper hanging? I fid teh green ones seem a bit thick for getting a plumb line.
:) funny video though :)
Humm I'll do a quick short to test whilst I have all 4, keep an eye out for it this week 👍
In my current situation of doing up a bungalow I would prefer the 360 as that would give me the flexibility across a load of jobs on my list..which just seems to grow!
I think you might have missed the 3rd rule? 😉
Story of my life! I’ll put that right.
@@Rich-0816 😂
Would be handy if there’s multiple trades working and you don’t want a lot of lasers everywhere
I think you might have missed the 3rd rule 🤔
@@THE-AIDEN-PROJECT annoyingly it’s been sat in my watch later for ages! I’ve seen every video in the series too! ❤️ keep up the good work
I prefer the one you don’t like !😉
Absolute craziness 😁
As meatloaf once said 2 out of 3 ain’t bad so a 2 laser level would be all good for me 👍
Are the green lasers crisper than the red version ??
I did a video about why green lasers are better 😁😉 hummm it really depends on the lense on whether its crisp but the human eye can see green better than red 😎
I want me a freakin laser beam pew pew pew
I trust you've already completed the 3rd rule? My laptop just run out of battery so haven't checked 😂
@@THE-AIDEN-PROJECT sure have !
3 is better so you can get spotlights directly above where you need them.
More lasers is always better, especially when it's sharks with freakin' laser beams. Or if you don't have any sharks, it's useful for framing out multiple walls.
😂
So I’ve been reading all these comment and whilst yes many of them are good responses and the laser is good for making up stud walls etc as it will help keep everything plumb and level, have you tried taking it outside at night, they create a good light show as the beam cuts through the trees and bushes. Work out how to put it on a motor so it rotates it and it would be like being back in the drum and bass raves of the 90s
Ps you still got all those insulation board cut offs, I need to insulate the roof of my garage.
Ahaa I like the idea of a laser show. Might see if I can get creative.
P. S. I'll be using the offcuts in for a cabin build one day 😝😂
@@THE-AIDEN-PROJECT no probs ,I was just wondering as I remembered you say you were going to chuck some off cuts in a skip or something.
Plum, square and true! Simple. I’m laughing at all the extra comments on this vid. P.s how’s Arthur?
He kind of plateaued over the past week. I've not given him one of the medications today to see if he is any better so will know more tomorrow. That medication sedated him and causes ataxia (wobbly on his legs). Hopefully tomorrow we can see him walk better and move about abit more 🤞
A 3x360 laser is for squaring right? Looking to pick one up as I (try to) refurb an 1800s stone shed on my FTB house - ill check Cigman out!
Cool, feel free to use my discount code in the description unless you want to enter the giveaway (i think you're missing the 3rd rule 😉)
The Cigman amazon link doesn't seem to want to load
It works on my laptop and my phone 🤷♂️ have you got an ad blocker or vpn or something?
@@THE-AIDEN-PROJECT ah yes, it's working on phone
If you send me a laser I’ll get back to you with why 3 are better than 2 😆🤙🏻
more is better ;)
They look decent. This isn't me entering BTW as I have a decent laser. Rather someone who needs it wins it
Nice one dude 🙌
Recon you had fun making this one haha. Never said you had a twin 😆
@@tomvincent5596 surprisingly that beginning part only took about 6 takes 😂 to get it perfect I'd be there all day
@The Aiden Project🔨 I thought it was brilliant. You've got skills man
