My favorite line is "through the walls I heard love dying." Please react to his band The Big Push. Anything with him in red suspenders! I just love this song though. He said he'd just broken up with his management, and just wanted to do something fast and fun, and hence, we have Power!

Also the interviews he’s given - Rosalie Reacts and Zack Sang show are the 2 interviews where he really opens up and the interviewers give Ren the space to really open up about himself . There are other interviews but I find the interviewers just pepper Ren with questions so there is no time for reflection.

If you want to check out other artists, you really don't even need to leave what I would call the "Ren-iverse". His live duets with the artist Chinchilla will lead you to her solo stuff - either "Chalk Outlines (live)" or "How To Be Me (live)". Then you can check out Chinchilla's "Fingers" (live) or "Little Girl Gone" (live and official videos are both great).
Ren went viral several years ago with a video of him and his friend Sam Tompkins (not the Sam in this "Power" video). That's on Ren's channel as "Earned It/Man's World/Falling". Then you can check out Sam Tompkins "Time Will Fly" or "Lose It All (live)".

Nice job and just subbed since you said more Ren ahead. Do "Murderer" the official music video or "Murderer" his acoustic version. It is fantastic, both version and the song is fun despite the name. "Illist of our time" is wonderful. So many I want you to check out. These are upbeat and not sad.

I’m so glad you did this one!! If pushed to choose a favorite (which really is impossible), it’s Power ❤ It gives me so much joy to see you discover Ren! None of my friends care, so it’s really fun to get to see someone watch a video for the first time 😄 As others have said, the driver is Samuel Perry-Falvey aka Sam (not to be confused with Sam Tompkins, one of the amazing singers Ren has collaborated with). Now for another side of Ren, you need to react to Chalk Outlines ft. Chinchilla (live).I also second the suggestion of his 1 Million Subscribers - Defining Success video. It’s something you could react to if you want, only about 5 minutes long. I want to suggest so many more. You get something different with nearly every video! Another favorite is much older, Fire, from his first album, Freckled Angles. But you’ve got to do the Money game trilogy too (remember lyric video for pt 2!) and Murderer and Genesis. And then the live acoustics versions of Murderer and Genesis! Blind Eyed ft Sam Tompkins (music crowns session). Ok ok I’ll stop. I could rattle off at least 20 more you should do 😅
Loving the reactions. Don’t worry if Ren makes you expose or feel your vulnerabilities, it’s his superpower. A lot of Ren songs have a great up beat sound with a contrasting serious message. Took me a while to know if I should dance are cry lol

He and Samuel have known each other since Sam was 16 and Ren 20. I believe. Hi Ren was nominated for a best music video at the Camerimage festival this past year. Sam's highlight for his videography. Thanks for spending time with us! I think you should do Chalk Outlines live with Chinchilla and busking video with Sam Tompkins. And the Big Push one everyone suggests. You will love all of those. And they will give you other artists to react to also.

Ren and Sam just vibing out in a car driving around the streets of Brighton England..... This is Ren's favorite video he's done..... The song came after a real dark period in Ren's life, he'd lost his contract with Sony as his illness prevented him from fulfilling it, he'd been really ill.... He wrote this song, wrote the beat and filmed it with Sam in the car in a week... 1 week for one of the best vibe songs Ren has done...
A gentle paced one next "nudge, nudge, wink wink"... how about "Do you believe"
"Edit to add" Ren's budget for video's is around £1,000 (about $1150) except for Money Game part 3 which was £35,000, he generally has friends join in his video's when he needs extra bodies to play with... "Animal Flow" is a prime example of that, all the "extra's in that video where friends who he had asked to help him out, the place it is filmed also belonged to a friend of his.
He lost the contract with Sony in 2013 due to ill-health. This was shot many years later (I think 2020 or 2021) after he had split with his then manager ...

More that it was a really dark time in his life, where he had lost everything and was coming out the other side when he wrote Power.

@@antiqueinsider I've only been to Brighton once, but it looked familiar as he was driving round... My multiple time's spent in Bristol was always in the city centre so i'l bow to your superior knowledge on that point.

This was Ren's first video as an independent artist after breaking from his management.
An independent artist is one who isn't signed to a label, which holds true for Ren for virtually his entire career. You can still have management and be independent. :)
Yay, love that you jumped to a fun song!! Not sure if anyone told you yet, but Ren does all his own beats himself, I mean obviously he uses samples like any good hip-hop producer, but he's the only chef in the kitchen. You'll start to see, despite his cross genre talent, the one I think he's most passionate about is rap/hip-hop, and he was influenced heavily by 90's hip hop, so you'll hear that type of vibe in most of his upbeat tracks, that or reggae, or both at times..lol.
Oh yeah, and Ren prides himself on people interpreting his songs to get the meaning out it they need the most, or means the most to them. So with us Ren fans, don't feel like you have to precursor a statement with, "this is just my opinion". Which I get, with the way some fans of other artists are, they can get offended, but I've never seen a group of fans so open and welcoming to everyone's different views on Ren's tracks.

His power, from what I get from this song & his music in general, is his music. It was the only thing he could think about or do while he was very, very sick & it's been his lifelong obsession/love. Yes, he also dealt with problems in destructive ways at some point, but his true power is his ability to make music that connects with so many people.

Ren collabs with amazing independent artists. Please listen to his duets with Chinchilla. Live versions of Chalk Outlines and How to be me. Chinchilla has incredible music. Fingers live version is freaking tge best live performace I have ever seen. Her new song Cut You Off is top shelf. She ranks up there with Pink, Rhianna, Beyonce
She is just getting started and Ren is part of that.

I take it that music is Ren's power - that when the sound of love dying came thru the wall, he made his beats and wrote his songs.

I Love that they are having so much fun
There are many suggestions to make in each realm of Ren's work, from social commentary, his illness journey, the effect of his childhood friend that even gave the title of his first Album 'Freckled Angels.' But if you're looking for 'Fun Ren' I have two short works done many years apart that shows a sort of cheeky personal growth for Ren.
First is 'Ren - GIRLS! (Official)' that posted 5 years ago, then follow it in the same reaction with 'Ren - Uninvited.' Very short works so pairing them up will be a nice video and it could even be a first among Ren Reactors to do it that way, and your reaction would be fun.

Great reaction!! Ren’s Losing It(Fisher Rap Retake) is another fun vibe. Pro tip… on a keyboard space bar pauses and left arrow rewinds 5 sec “j” button rewinds 10 seconds and right arrow fast forwards 5 and “l” fast forwards 10sec, but with Ren videos there’s really no need to fast forward.

In terms of Ren I would suggest you try "Genesis" (the official music video) The production and beat are amazing, and the lyrics are crazy good. Just a hint, the meal in the beginning of the video is battered sausage, chips and mushy peas and because of the damage caused to his system by Lymes disease he is unable to eat it.
As far as other artists to react to I would suggest someone who Ren has promoted in the past, Dirt Miller. I recommend starting with his song "Kansas City." He is another talented independant artist as unique as Ren is.
I just subbed. I like honest reactions. I seen you reacted to this song. 1 of my favs of his. RENs power is making music. We have to find ours to try and make it in this world. Nice reaction btw.
