Superb! This is the "Beatley" version, yes, and he sticks to the soulful feel of it. The strings are a great touch. His gritty powerful voice in the middle 8's is great. John Lennon would have been happy with this.
The original was by Arthur Alexander! an American soul singer in the early sixties of whom the Beatles covered on their debut Album "Please please Me!" in the Winter of 1962!!! The Rolling Stones also covered one of his records early in 1964 called "You better move on!" He was an extremely talented and underrated artist IMHO
