- Monk Aelfric is a fine man, having become the custodian of the Abyss and giving people a place to run to if they need it. The Church of Seiros tolerates, though not allows it, which is an interesting turn of events.
We also get a lore dump about Sitri, Byleth's frail, sickly mother. It seems she had health issues, which as we know from backstory, is likely due to Rhea experimenting on her descendants and things not going well.

Yuri, Coinstance, Balthus, and Hapi are all fine characters when it comes to combat. I am particularly curious about Yuri's Crestlocked accessory, but time will tell how it works.

Changed my mind half way cause since I mada that comment, I have watched all the story behind.
Aint buying the DLC because I feel very disapointed at the quality of it. No animations yet, just screenshots, Jeralt is not involved on it despite being about his friend trying to resurrect his wife... Seems like a very mediocre adition, besides character talk and shippings. Just very bland. Story looks very random.
@@onemoregodrejected9369 I actually makes sense. This is back when most of the knights were sent to purge the Western Church. Jeralt between them. Not to mention, it's only like 2 or 3 days long.
Wise Sage of the Fanservice realms honestly I should’ve just watched it I just got the dlc when cinderd shadows came out it added a ton of replay value to the base game but I don’t actually have the time the best part was honestly the music and one line from balthus that stuck with me

Funnily, Byleth and Sitri are both names from the Ars Goetia and Sitri is exactly above Byleth.

It's nice to know that Aelfric knows Jeralt and Byleth's mother too...and for me, it's quite a blessing for Byleth to learn more about his mother from him too...
I find it sad, what a fate his decisions lead him to. After Jeralts death, Byleth could have really needed Aelfrics help with coping.
It's weird that Byleth will learn more about his/her mother before Jeralt talks about her in her grave.

Fun fact: Byleth mom Sitri, is the name of a demon who is a fallen angel and the 12th demon of Ars Nova. His (the demon is a male) main power is to make a man and woman fall in love with each other and make them have sex.
Sitri is also in the Ars Goetia. Also as number 12. And number 13 is Byleth.
Oh, so Jeralt might be actually older than a century? He has Rhea blood after all, even a drop of her blood might work wonders on a human.

Alois said that back when Jeralt was drunk once, he confessed his secret of not aging: That he drank the blood of someone with a crest 100 years ago. He also mentions at the beginning of the game how he has never seen a war like the one in your dream since 100 years ago. He probably stopped aging back then so je might be like 150 years old.

Remember when Jeralt lied and said Byleth's mother wasn't Jeralt's first wife, yeah me neither.
But seriously the fact the this guy doesn't believe Jeralt's lie and just assume's the Sirti is By's mom, or he just knows that she is, is suspicious, you'd think Byleth would be like "Hey how did you know my mom? Lady Rhea/Alois didn't know my mom and they where apparently friends with my dad." But Byleth's a piece of bread who need's Sothis to think for them so of course not.

Also, I think at this point of the timeline, Jeralt already showed Byleth his mom's grave.
Oh uh... lore... dump. Cool, we learn everything about our protagonist's mom thanks to Aelfric... in just text. No pictures, no scenes, whatsoever. Great. Sure they bring the pictures later, but still, they could've went in depth here rather than later.
