We got this along with a stack of 78 rpm records from a charity store when I was about 10 years old, which makes it 1960. My brother and I played this endlessly without understanding a word of it. Kids did that then.
My dad had this on original 78rpm back when I was a kid, 55+yrs ago. It was hilarious then as it is now. Part 1 was the A side & part B on the flip side.
Another of my favourites from Junior Choice, Ed Stewart only ever played side 1, when I eventually heard 'Lye Soap' I understood why but after getting on for 50 years I still chuckle at 'Bo Peep'

@@OldiesAl ...when you analyse the words there is a certain logic in Johnny's interpretation.
My Uncle Bill used to do the whole routine (and his timing was better). I love hearing it again. Fun times
Never heard it before. Interesting 😁
For people of a certain age in the UK this was a commonly heard recording on Saturday mornings on Radio 2
I am just slightly too young to remember junior choice :) I was part of the swap shop generation
You're not far off though Paul I sort of straddled the two
Ha ha you are still older though and that counts and matters :) :) :) lol
