I loved this series so much when I read it. Yes, even the slog, lol. The build up and payoff to book 14 was fantastic, even with Brandon Sanderson writing it. Definitely recommend it if anyone is on the fence.
This was histerical, and such a satesfying watch for me as a WoT fan ❤ I personally enjoy immersing myself in a fantastical world if the book is good, so I was overjoyed that there were 14 of these and took almost 3 years to read them through, and this last book was such a satisfying ending, I think it's a tastement to Jordan's writing (and Sanderson's) that you felt that as well
That "CSI who the f** are you" bit had me in stiches 😂😂 Tge Wheel of Time is famouse for holding the record for most named characters in a book series (Robin Hobb is getting close though..) - knowing what the first chapter in Memory of Light is like, I admit I had a very mischievous grinn on my face appraching it - and you did not disappoint! 😂
You put in the WORK though! You were taking so many notes and keeping track of everything. Did you read the middle 12 books? No. But did you probably go more in depth on books one and fourteen than most other people? Without a doubt 👏👏👏

I read the first book and half the second and really enjoyed them but then found out some spoilers that I wasn’t so excited for + the way everyone talks about the slog and so wasn’t really keen on continuing, but your comments about the last book give me some hope!!!

The eye of the world felt like a standalone to me and I think you could read it as that. I have read a couple more books in the series, but did not enjoy them really. Especially because the author can't write women at all. Would love to see you read Realm of the Elderlings next. I think for that series it does not matter that much. And if you love it you can still enjoy the other books. I think 😅
I love when men say that Robert Jordan can't write women. It's basically an admission of how little experience they have with women and very likely an admission of virginity. Robert Jordan had been shared by women in polygamous relationships since he was a young man, I think he knows women better than you or the average man.

I do feel tho that if you really wanted to read the rest of the books knowing the ending doesn’t ruin anything for you cause sooooo much happens in those other books that it is still very interesting and you don’t know about trust me haha ❤ The end of the first book never makes sense to be quite honest lol it feels real out of place. Rand is the dragon reborn. The prolog is the original dragon and his ending and his maddess and murdering of his family. The last book stuff is cracking me up so much🤣🤣🤣 Egwene is the best!! I wouldn't recommend this for a first/last but if you want to do more adult epic fantasy try another old influential one that's only a trilogy: Memory, Sorrow and Thorn by Tad Williams. They're each thick books but they have that intense level of description you like with some pretty poetic lines at times.

I recommend reading the rest, book three is really good and then after that it keeps getting better because you learn more and more about the world and everything. If you don't want to read to full series I recommend reading to and through book six since that will force you to continue reading since that book is just so good.

I read this series in secret to surprise and impress a boy I was obsessed with who was obsessed with these books. I was on book 8 when he dumped me. So there's that. Lmao. The soab was right though. I had to keep reading.

I found myself "in a slog" after books six till book 12, so still yourself The last three books were a lot more to my liking.

recommend skipping to book 11 and continuing to read because then the worst book of the slog is past, its worth it to get to the Sanderson books.
