Thank you for serving our country sir. My Father fought in The Battle of The Bulge, he was a Sergeant, his name~ Gerald Inman from Lansing, Michigan. He received the Purple Heart 💜 and was also a POW. He was a very good man and he was my best friend . He was there in 1944~45. He passed away in 1972 at age 52. I miss him very much and am very proud to be his Daughter.
Died at the age of 52, for what he did at the Bulge he should have lived to be 100. Healthy.
My dad fought in the Pacific in the Navy. The only Pic was when he was in Okinawa. He was a LCVP driver but he did not tell us of his war experience. He passed away in 1978 age 53, would have been 54 a week later, still miss him very much!!!
My great grandad died at 29. From wounds recieved at the bulge. Shrapnel from artillery went into his leg and he couldnt walk again. @@johnfoster3089

Claude thank you for all your dedication to this country 🇺🇸
Thank you Claude for serving the cause of freedom, and helping to stop tyranny. God bless you.
i am always impressed by these veterans. My uncles fought in Europe and my Father fought in America,
Truly an American hero from the greatest generation. Thank you sir for my freedom.
A fine example of just one of many of the greatest generation!!!! Thank you Dr. Harwood!!
THANK YOU SIR
I found John Robert Horvath's military records online. He did have 3 brothers that are all deceased, as well as his parents. It appears that in 1948 his remains were brought back to St. Louis for burial. He was in the Army a few days short of a year before being killed.. Sad indeed because it brought back memories of a friend of mine killed in Vietnam , two weeks before he was scheduled to come home.
Thank you. Glad you made it home 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Thank you for serving our nation
I watch alot of these types of video's. Rishi is the best interviewer of them all.
I love the fact that you were concerned if he needed a drink of water or felt cold. Thank you for your genuine concern Rishi.
Hugs and Kisses and plenty of Greek blessings to our beloved veterans.
The audio is perfect which is sometimes lacking in other vet interviews. Very well done!
Our dear friend Doc Harwood has went to be with the lord. R.I.P. Doc! You will be remembered. VFW Post 7697.
Thank you so very much for your great service and sacrifices, Mr. Harwood!! You are truly an American hero!!!🇺🇸👏💯

GOD BLESS THE WWII HEROES
this person is the epitome of what made and makes america great.
Thank you for this, great job. Northern New Hampshire loves and respects all our veterans. Listening to this made my day. What a true American hero.
Claude Harwood you are one of the greatest generation. Thank you for defending freedom not only for America but for those countries under the boot of the nazi’s. Then you came home and served as a doctor taking care of people. My father was Army infantry in the Pacific campaigns. I also served in the Army four years. I still have my Father’s Ike Jacket and a lot of pictures etc. He has passed away. He did not speak about his experiences. I think a lot of WW II veterans did not when they came home. I understand that. I am thankful for these interviews happening now. I only wish the newer generations had an understanding about history. God bless you. Full respect and best wishes sent to you. 🤝🇺🇸
is he still around?
Thank you
It's amazing listening to these wonderful people. So good that their memories are being recorded. Youngsters today need to listen to what they
went through as young men.
Thank you for this wonderful person’s life experiences.
Imagine how many people have asked him “what happened to your ear?” To be able to say “oh, it got shot off in World War Two”. Immediate respect man! Awesome listening to this account. Thank you sir.
I can answer that last question. Doc will be remembered as a Very Good Man, Great Husband, Father & Beloved Physician. Thank You Claude!
Thank you Rishi. What you do is incredible.
My dad fought against the Japanese, he didn't talk about it much, only the lighter/funny moments. I bet he would have opened up to you.
God bless you always, sir!!! Thank you endlessly for your service!!!!! ✝️🇺🇲✝️
Wow my birthday is also June 12th. 1971. These interviews with these great men are incredible

Passed away on 11/17/2023. I was able to meet him a few times and got interested in HAM radio because of him. His wife was a relative of mine.

My grandfathers name was Claude. He has the same look as him and reminds me of him. He was an old Army guy too.
GOD BLESS THE WWII VETERANS
Amazing to think Claude was only 20, barely a man., when WW2 ended

With all due respect, I noticed if you set the speed of these vids at x1.5 speed, you can hear how these guys talked when they were 20. It works great with this true hero. This is how I prefer to listen to them talk. I think maybe they would prefer I listened like this also. It is astonishing how much aging affects your speaking speed.
1.25
1.5 sounds like a squirrel on crack
👍🇨🇦
I see he did get his CIB at the end of the show damn sometimes I like being wrong
Incredible story. you asked him things he already told us at the end but good interview otherwise.
I hope when I’m his age I’m still interested in technology like he is and wearing the latest Apple Watch! 😊
Mt ex wifes Grandfather was in the Big Red 1 before the war until 1945

Thank god for men like this! Our generation of total video game playing losers who depend on Uber eats will never hold a candle to men like this.
