Why f up a good concert vid wth all that bullshit before it starts? This band means more to me than a lot of people in my life and i almost gave up and clicked something else.
because its not a "good concert vid" its a "capture" of the live stream of the show from the night the show took place. They start the stream early and run advertisements to pay bills, this time period also works for everyone to sort out buffering issues, roll one, crack and beer and dim the lights before the band who never takes the stage at the same time actually takes the stage.

If you hate the editing you should because it’s corporate shit & it sucks. If you want to see any real DBT footage recorded by fans & edited by a genius look up Jonicont on RUclips. If you want to see a show as you would see it through your own eyes there live at the show, there’s none better than Dr John. Trust me, just go do it. Whatever musician you would be watching at that point at the show, it’s here! No doubt you’ll fuckin love it 10/10 DBT fans approve this message
Used to be a big fan; these guys have made some money off me over the years - but I'm done. Their insights into Southern culture were at one time poignant and intriguing. Now it's all about reciting the safe narrative the new audience wants to hear. Don't mistake marketing for social consciousness.
It's a shame you feel like you must troll a video of a band you used to like. You know we're not a new audience and we're not following a new narrative. You must want the harmless party band you thought they were. That was a false notion you and some others held that grew flimsy over time. The Truckers are the same as they ever were. Rock on!

Curious how one considers "safe" actions that would alienate your existing fanbase. That takes courage. Something you obviously don't have. Furthermore, these guys never made any attempt to hide from which side of the fence they were coming from. Just because you were incapable to pick up on it before doesn't mean they have changed.
It's like you couldn't figure out what parts of their "insights" were sarcasm and disdain and are just now figuring out who these guys have been THE ENTIRE FUCKING TIME YOU WERE A "BIG FAN".
