- Kernel is the friendliest dog around! He’s been with his mom since early adulthood and helped her overcome the loss of her grandparents. Kernel inspired his mom to be a dog walker which suits him fine because he can make loads of new friends. Even strangers were drawn to this goofy dog. Even through some challenges and a broken leg, Kernel finds a way to still bring everyone together and lives life to the fullest

My mom raised Great Danes during my childhood and they were called gentle giants…they were so sweet, so kind and patient and gentle. Great Danes are beautiful with big hearts.

I had Great Danes for 40 years, and every one of them was friendly, affectionate, quirky, funny, loving, unique, irreplaceable, and dearly missed to this day. Incredible dogs, every one of them.

My gentle Harlequin giant was ‘Jona’. On visits to the dog park, I would watch my beautiful boy visit families and pups all over the park. Everyone knew Jona. On neighbourhood walks, he too greeted one and all , and they greeted him. It’s been many years and still my heart misses his sweet nature. He truly was an angel on earth. 🥹🙏🏼❤️

Brenda, my Harlequin was named Jada. She sounded identical to your description of Jona. She passed at 12 years old, and took a bit of my soul with her. Because of her, Harlequins are the standard to which I apply to all dogs. They are simply amazing animals. 🐾 🤙🏽

My youngest sister had one. Went home for vacation was greeted by him barking. The size of him and his teeth had us most apprehensive to get out the car. He was fawn colored. Went to the park where they had deer. He approached the fence and so did the deer. The calmly sniffed one another. What a beauty! ♥️👍

It's been almost 10 years since I've been able to replace the dog who shared our family's life for 15 years.
My dog loves to get pets from everyone in the neighborhood. She has become friends with many people near us because she visits them everyday. When she sees a person outside their house she gets so excited, wags her tail and starts to walk towards them.

@1:31 that old man passed after meeting that big dog and his wife ending up being friends with the owner. They pick her up for her bush walk, thats how they meet the couple in the 1st place.
Love it! We said goodbye to our old boy several months ago (lymphoma). A Rotty/Chow-Chow mix, he was 107 lbs. of love bug. On the street, he loved all people. Anybody who came into our house or yard with another family member, was an immediate friend (and he never forgot a friend). Should a stranger try to enter the yard, uninvited, our old boy would challenge them (I don't think he would have attacked any person, but his bark was enough to scare anyone). At his passing, I couldn't believe that the Creator would put such a wonderful animal on this Earth for just a short time. Thanks for the video!

We had a female Dane named Shadow. My mother and her father always wanted a Dane. He died in 1938 in his 50s. They never got one. My mother had a tough life. But when she was getting old, we got her Shadow. We knew she would outlive my mother and that we would inherit her. As my mother would say, we loved Shadow to pieces. So sweet. Gigantic, but sweet. And, yes, she would sit in your lap : ) Thanks for posting this video.

Not necessarily, when I switched my giant dog over to a raw meet diet ( due to food allergies) he ate less and had smaller poos so it ended up not being more expensive at all. And he ate less than a Golden retriever! When he weight 120 lbs you could see his ribs, and he only ate when he was hungry never bc it was there

I love big dogs they are so dopey and cute acting. He reminds me of a dog in our neighborhood named Ben. Where my Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix is ornery most of the time and standoffish with strangers. Ben is a HUGE Golden Retriever the biggest i've ever seen. And he just loves on everyone. Very sweet boy and puts up with ALL of my little Jamie's antics every time they play together. I would love to give Kernel a big hug and kiss. Such a sweet boy. Reminds me a lot of my 120lbs Akita/Shepard mix i used to own.

My wife and I have 4 Great Danes of the GIGANTIC variety and 4 Saint Bernard's also of the Gigantic variety. The best two species ever. Very gentle and laid back breeds. Our small town loves them, as well as other animals.

A work colleague of mine had a Great Dane and she was such an awesome pooch. I remember sitting on the couch and she was sat on the floor in front of me with her head on my shoulder getting scritches 🥰
