Thanks for this. You addressed exactly what I was looking for and couldn't find. I agree the standard logo is fine but could definitely look better. I want an overlay but was curious if the radar would be affected. Glad you said you tried it out and didn't find it impacted at all.
Thank you for sharing this video...LaminX product page has an installation video that shows light spraying of water on the factory emblem surface, just before overlaying the LaminX tint product on it....after watching you video, I guess you don't really need the water at all to install it?
I would certainly follow the Manufacturers suggestions but, ya I didn't use any water. I cleaned it good with a cleaner then put it on like any other vinyl. Still on my rig too! Holding out so far :)
Air bubbles will eventually disappear with direct sunlight. Can also avoid bubbles by spraying a light mist of water over the emblem and squeegee them out. It won’t hurt the vinyl. Well, it definitely shouldn’t if the vinyl is quality… i run a decal business and that’s what do when applying for my customers.
@@redbaron2448 never? I see it happen regularly. Guess Florida is special 🤷🏻♀️ don’t know what to tall ya. Been doing vinyl work for 6 years now and have never had any issues with air bubbles going away after a week or two.

Thanks for making video. I just ordered tint from them for my 19 Tacoma badge to hide the fading of clear.

Great video, but when you zoom in you can see all the Air bubbles

Does it affect the adaptive cruise control actually? Or you don’t have any issues?
Great question, and nothing effected yet! Luckily, it's no thicker than a vinyl sticker. No promises tho. The manufacturer says it may effect it.
Which color did you choose?
Just dark black/grey smoke. Darkened up nice!
