I've always loved the lyrics to this song. People used to make fun of me for listening to Japanese music because "you don't even know what they are saying" this song was profound when I was younger and now that I'm older I relate to it even more. Every song these guys made was a masterpiece.

I'm still crushed I didn't make it to see them perform when they came to the States. Now they have taken a hiatus, so I will never get to see them live. But, these songs are so good I find myself coming back again and again. So much nostalgia

The bass and organ are as deep as acid jazz - which inspired persona 5. Though the trumpets are more like persona 4. And of course the rap gives more of a persona 3 feel.
I love this kind of rap, it's just free & flowy bars. No drugs, no hate, no hoe or sexual or anything negative in their message when they rap. Just positive energy vibes. I rarely find this kind of rap songs in this current generation.
Maybe you're just not looking in the right place? Rap is an incredible art form and there's so much good stuff out there! To get an incredible sample of it, you can see a lot from a bunch of different artists by listening to the Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse soundtrack! It's a good place to start :)

When I see this kind of "wholesome/aware" rap-like music here in Brasil or in the West in general, its usually some message about how drugs are bad (e.g.: Ilusão - Alok, Hariel). But when it comes to Japan, its frequently about fighting depression and keeping the flame of your dreams burning. Like in this Shounen Heart.

Tyrique Smith reminds me more of persona 3, but this does have a similar sound to the persona 4 opening pursue my true SEEEEELLLLLF!!
The bass and organ are as deep as acid jazz - which inspired persona 5.
Though the trumpets are more like persona 4.
And of course the rap gives more of a persona 3 feel.

I love this kind of rap, it's just free & flowy bars. No drugs, no hate, no hoe or sexual or anything negative in their message when they rap. Just positive energy vibes. I rarely find this kind of rap songs in this current generation.

To get an incredible sample of it, you can see a lot from a bunch of different artists by listening to the Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse soundtrack! It's a good place to start :)

When I see this kind of "wholesome/aware" rap-like music here in Brasil or in the West in general, its usually some message about how drugs are bad (e.g.: Ilusão - Alok, Hariel).
But when it comes to Japan, its frequently about fighting depression and keeping the flame of your dreams burning. Like in this Shounen Heart.
