    I totally agree on Joe’s placements! With those puppy eyes and the importance of his mother and taking care of others, he simply must be a Cancer rising lol 🌝
    Thank you for sharing your experience with the acting industry. And as a fellow Saturn in Aries, I also chose to build my own career rather than wait years for someone to give me an opportunity ☄️
    I wish you the best 🌷

    I’m a Leo sun and rising with a water and earth dominate chart. No one has ever seen me as self assured or overpowering. In fact I’m a bit quiet and reserved. It’s very odd because my sister has a Leo rising but a Taurus sun and moon and her Leo is very prominent. I think I just have so much water, that’s why. She has a lot of air and earth and then the Leo rising .

    Yay! I am so excited for your new channel. I think that will be great. I hope I never come off as too creepy in these comments, but I do just enjoy Astrology content a lot.
    Thank you for being open about some of your experiences with acting and with your health. I am sorry that you went through these moments but I appreciate the knowledge that has come from them.
    I am hoping to have a life coach session with you when I can. I am definitely curious how you combine Astrology with Life-Coaching. Would we go into my chart during the session? Or, like, would we work on a specific astrological placement for the session? I am just curious about your process with that. Thanks for another great video!

      Thank you so much! It’s not creepy at all! It means a lot to me to get comments like this and know that I’m not just speaking out into the void. I hope I get the chance to coach you soon! Coaching is such a powerful tool, how you want to incorporate astrology into a session is completely up to you. On my end, having knowledge of someone’s chart provides me more insight and opportunity to acknowledge and validate the client’s experience. It also is sometimes just helpful for both of us to be able to communicate using the language of astrology. But whatever you want to work on in a session is up to you! Whether you want to focus on a placement or an area of life or a particular goal, as the coach I’m here to help you get wherever you want to go.

    Who defines divine femininity? How can the notion of divine femininity ever be disentangled from the societal view of femininity that has always existed?

    • @NinaBAstrology
      @NinaBAstrology  Год назад +3

      Divine femininity are the poetic qualities associated with the internal, soft, and nurturing nature of the female anatomy (though it exists in all of us to varying degrees regardless of sex) and the emotional and empathic nature of the moon in astrology. Divine masculinity is the counterpart, the poetic qualities associated with the outward, hard, creative nature of the male anatomy and the logical and self focused nature of the sun in astrology. It’s a definition integral to the language of astrology and also exists in other cultures and philosophies, sometimes by different names like Yin and Yang. The societal view of femininity is more shifting, bias, and arbitrary. Some of it is rooted in these divine principles (i.e. women are more nurturing/are primary care takers) but makes the mistake of associating exclusively with sex. Understanding the definition of divine femininity, it becomes apparent what social constructs of femininity are divorced from the concept of divine femininity (i.e. an interest in make up or romance or reality tv shows has nothing to do with the poetic symbolism of the moon or the internal nature of the female anatomy and has more to do with what is marketed towards women and what men are socialized away from). I hope that makes sense and answers your question, it’s a really great question! I am by no means the one and only authority on the subject but have spent a lot of time with it.

      @@NinaBAstrology I'm an ex-very spiritual person who ultimately had to distance myself because I found it was very toxic for me (as well as it stopped making sense), but I still flirt with and enjoy astrology from time to time, and I want to grasp concepts like this before judging them. I've been studying Psychology for a few years now and became highly skeptical of terms like these in the spiritual community. The innate autonomy is something I can get by, however I don't understand the leap from that to the association with the moon and the sun. How do we go from "external, hard" to ruling logic and creativity? It seems anthropomorphic and viewing biological (and metaphysical too, if you will) mechanisms through worldly, oversimplistic perspective, that simply cannot be distinguished from the societal view, as long as we have lived on this earth and experienced our history the way we did. Societal views of femininity go way more deeply, way less obvious than just attributing makeup, relationships and fashion to women. I think it's unrealistic to think our worldly biased view didn't get in the way of how we view innate femininity. And about other cultures, just because a concept appears the same in multiple cultures does not solidify its accuracy, after all we are all interconnected.
      Another (separate!) point is that I'm unsure of who this benefits. We can say "energy isn't inherent to gender and men can hold femininity and women masculinity" all we want, but for as long as we live, with our current brains that so very easily form connections, women will NEVER be separated from divine femininity and men will never be separated from divine masculinity. Those things will always be expected and considered inherent to each other. Femininity - originates from female energy, women. This is a connection that cannot be broken down. And I'm highly suspicious of whether these terms are still helpful for us while pushing forward in society.
      Thanks for the answer :)

      Thank you for the reply! I also don’t want my perspective of things to be limited by my own pre-determined judgments and biases. I don’t disagree that there is a lot that is toxic in the spiritual community and I try to stay grounded. I personally do enjoy a bit of poetic anthropomorphism though. The leap from “hard and outward” to “logic and creativity” comes from logic being more black and white and in that way angular, and the male anatomy being responsible for the creation aspect of life while the female anatomy takes on the responsibility of growing and nurturing life. The Sun representing masculinity is associated with how it is consistent (like the 24 hour male hormonal cycle) and takes up space shining it’s own light (like the male anatomy). The moon representing femininity in how it is inconsistent, going through several phases throughout the month like the four week (give or take of course) female hormonal cycle, and it receives the light of the sun just like the female anatomy receives the male anatomy.
      Not trying to convince you that this way of viewing things is right, but perhaps better explaining how these associations came to be.
      As for the point of who this language helps, I guess I personally am optimistic that if we reiterate that masculinity and femininity live in all of us enough, it will get through. Like how there is duality even in the male and female anatomy with the clitoris and the foreskin representing the yang in the yin and the yin in the yang. But you bring up a great point which I want to spend some time thinking about and perhaps utilize the words Yin and Yang more rather than masculine and feminine.

    hi nina! ive always been a fan and really valued your opinion, but definitely would have to disagree about the gender part of this video-- i think its harmful to say that gender and nature are inherently tied together because gender is a social construct. would love to see how your astrology could better include genders beyond the binary/if you could challenge your ideas around what femininity or masculinity is.

    • @NinaBAstrology
      @NinaBAstrology  Год назад

      Hi Seana! I’m so sorry that I upset you or disappointed you with the way I talked about gender in this video. It is definitely not at all my intention to represent gender as a binary! My word choice was poor when I said there is gender everywhere in nature, it’s more accurate to say that there is sex everywhere in nature, even outside of animals, and in that there is yin and yang. It’s a tricky subject because what I was trying to get across was that how we talk about masculinity and femininity in astrology is divorced from the socially constructed ideas of masculinity and femininity perpetuated in society, and that masculinity and femininity exist in all of us regardless of sex. I am a firm believer that the binary is stupid and that we shouldn’t exclusively associate masculinity with males and femininity with females. But I understand the word choice might not fully get that across. I’m always striving to continuously grow my understanding of astrology and these terms and express them in a clear and considerate way. I’m so sorry that I failed you on that front in this video. I hope my explanation clears up where I’m coming from and if it doesn’t and you still have criticisms to make I am open to understanding more. ❤️
