I would consider it downtempo Deep House but, it's Alex Hook. He has his own vibe.

Sorry but this remix doesn't do it for me. The original has such great dynamic and groovy bassline. A remix for me is using the groove/essence/tempo/ of the original track and enhancing into your own thing. For me you ripped the soul out of the song with monotone linear and stale sound. Uninteresting. Unpopular opinion but I hope you find some constructive criticism in it.
