BMW F30 328xi N20 engine replacement

Please enjoy my first car/random video. I replaced the engine do to timing chain failure on this F30 with a N20.

Hey do you guys ever notice a slow clicking noise from the turbo (New Turbo) after a motor swap?

I know this is an older video, but I have replaced about a dozen or so of the n20/n26 in 320,328,X3 models. I lift them out of the top,I have had no issues,and I just leave the exhaust up as well,I will pull the hanger down next to the trans for some flexibility when reinstalling but that is all. I actually just did a 2013 328 this past week,I put a used engine in,but I replaced the chain and components first.
I have 4 more 2013 models in now for either chains or engines, (one more 328 and 3 X3s). I am not questioning your methods,just curious why you drop out the bottom.
I will realese both engine mounts and lift with a jack stand enough to get the carrier past the engine cradle,and I only release the one inner nut and bolt on the lower control arm,the whole knee assembly will pivot out to remove the axles.
And I pull the intake for easier access to bell housing bolts on the top. This last one took about 18 hours total including the chain replacement, I do a compression and oil pump test while they are still on the table as well,and once back in the car I do my final crank shaft central bolt torque,everything else is done on the table before installation. It looks like you are with a BMW dealer,so I assume this is how they show it to be done,but I am just wondering if there is a reason I shouldn't be taking them out the top. Thanks!
