We used to catch monster barras in those drains and a little creek under the pipelines heading out to blue water, watch the big crocs but you have to balance on the pipelines to fish, better at night but watch for big hungry lizards 🦎
Fish the edge of the break wall on the right next to that pilon at night. 95cm Barra of there always get some when I’m up there and tuns of finger marks grunter ect alpine wier when it flows big Barra but popular now

Believe it or not Sydney is better fishing than Townsville because they stopped the trawlers 20 years ago. I know the pros hate that but the fishing in Sydney is way better than here. I have fished Townsville since 1973 and it's the worst now because of the professional fishing and illegal nets etc.

There is barra off that marina rock wall, got some grunted there before too but as you say urban fishing is hard
