Hi. As proven here, you can beat Ventus and Terra's stories on any difficulty, because Aqua's is the one that matters for secret. Hope this helps!
Explanation of BBS chip damage and why EXP Zero is so good: The formula for base damage is attack/magic - defense, but since BBS deals with very low numbers, every point matters. This is fine and all... Until you realize that enemy defense scales pretty aggressively, and it means that your base damage can drop below zero without much effort. "But Commands and abilities help right?" Every boost from commands and abilities is a multiplier, not to your stats but to your base damage, and base damage doesn't have a floor, only total damage, and the floor for total damage is 1. this means it doesn't matter if you're using a basic combo or mega flare, if your stats are only 1-2 points below expected, they do the same damage? "So how does EXP Zero help?" EXP Zero simply replaces the total damage floor with a higher number, while it won't help at all if your stats are good enough, even being slightly behind on levels (Something that's intended on Crit since they copied KH2's homework and made you gain less EXP) could make EXP Zero a lifesaver, and essentially makes it so if you didn't do enough grinding earlier on, you might as well throw on EXP Zero instead of trying to level up. Edit: For clarity the base damage formula is not to blame, it is mostly the same across KH games, but most other KH games also have a base damage floor so that your abilities and magic and what not aren't literally worthless the second you fall behind. KH1 magic however mostly uses something like base damage + (multiplier * total MP) and then account for elemental resistance. physical attacks are to my knowledge calculated normally.
I tried doing this once and Aqua's first Vanitas fight is what made me give up (I played her story first so I never ended up doing any command-less Terra or Ven at all), but this video showed me a few things I hadn't considered when doing my run and I think I might have to give it another shot PS: I really like the new editing style and would love to see more of it in the future
As a Birth By Sleep fan (I expect to be bullied for this fact) I'll try to explain a bit about where the Chip Damage issues come from: Birth By Sleep is a game where a lot of enemy bulk comes from Defense rather than Hp(I'm not sure why, but Osaka team really didn't like giving enemies a lot of Hp yet) which is why normal attacks tend to suddenly do Chip Damage at the start of certain worlds as enemy defense has suddenly jumped multiple points. Ventus' Strength stat, aside for a very brief period near the start of the game is actually the lowest of the playable trio, which is why even outside of Critical Mode he was stumbling into Chip Damage town so often. His main asset stat is actually Defense and he's supposed to be the most "Safe" character(this is why he gets unique commands like Faith that heal him while dealing damage). Terra barely coming across Chip Damageville makes sense, he's the high risk, high reward character, and even when you're only using Magic many of his unique spells deal high damage to a sizable area despite him having the worst Magic in the game. Aqua meanwhile is interesting, because her Strength starts out competing for the worst against Ventus(typically when using the same weapon they either tie or she is stronger), so most of the Chip Damage there was down to being on Critical Mode, and of course the +2/+2 of her starting Keyblade, which isn't replaced until after Dwarf Woodlands causing lv.1 to seem especially tempting on her.
My chip damage issue always happened in the Deep Space, for some reason that world just suddenly has a much stronger enemies compared to previous world
first time iv'e seen Secret episode. But after seeing requirements I figured it's not worth it. Vanithas and mysterious figure are enough challenge to me.
I wonder why you didn't use partial shotlocks for i-frames at times. It's not the most damage you can get, but youre still invulnerable for an extended period. Might've been useful on Darkhide to avoid some attacks.
I mean once you get past a certain level your keyblade is all you really need. I mean as Ventus and Terra once I hit level 60 the keyblade one shot most enemies and a finisher knocked out the others.
It would be nice if a mod adjusted the enemy scaling in the BBS Mirage Arena for singleplayer The Mission Mode in Days was similarly designed for 4 players and is similarly frustrating even in singleplayer

So something that you could've done since you don't technically use the commands when playing the command board was to do the minigame Command board. you'd be able to gain skills that heal you when you guard and damage based dodge movements. and that's with all three of them not just Aqua.
Bbs doesnt have a correct order becuase it a story from 3 different perspectives if you played it in the correct order you wouldnt really finish any story before starting th next since events overlap or happen before others however! "Dark Thorn is KH2"
Nnnnno… thats _Twilight Thorn_
I genuinely don't know how you beat some bosses on crit no commands as Terra, so I'd be curious on that.
I mean… there isn’t a point in the game where they’re required, so you CAN beat it without them… but be prepared to be seen as a masochist 😅
i might do this challenge once i can buy KH1.5+2.5 FINAL ReMIX on my epic account :)
You did a Bio "Sir?"
WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DIDN'T KNOW TO HIT THE BACK OF THE TANK UNVERSED!?
fire video
shotlocks are considered commands because they literally are lol
Exactly. How is bro going to spam some of the most broken abilities in the game and tell me he didn't use any commands?
Then we gotta bitch and moan about block and cartwheel and jump
So something that you could've done since you don't technically use the commands when playing the command board was to do the minigame Command board. you'd be able to gain skills that heal you when you guard and damage based dodge movements. and that's with all three of them not just Aqua.
6:20 you lied to me 😮
11:08 +1 death
SizeableYeah
Where's the mysterious figure fight?
Combo plus
Bbs doesnt have a correct order becuase it a story from 3 different perspectives if you played it in the correct order you wouldnt really finish any story before starting th next since events overlap or happen before others however! Always start with ven since his starts beforeathe other 2 timeline wise.
Gg!
🔥🔥
REAL
Aqua has really braod shoulders at times..
23:20 **cough**
do you play with emulator or on epic game store?
yooo lets GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Did you get the trophy for completing the game on crit?
Putting on action commands counts as using commands tho
