George Way was a lovely man. We lived next door to him, sadly he has passed away. great loss - such a gentle happy person.
He used to show us his movies of Disneyland - entrancing to the entire neighbourhood. And the STAR WARS pre-movie he managed to steal - circa 1977 - WOW. Thank you Mr Way.

Thanks for the kind comments Kim. Keep an eye out for the Disneyland movie, it's coming soon. The Star Wars Compendium was from Walton's Super 8 movie dept. popcultureretrorama.wordpress.com/2021/03/26/check-out-the-1977-super-8-version-of-star-wars/

I posted this link on Old Brisbane Album on facebook. Everyone loved it and was very appreciative - lots of people "tracked" the route. Still a lot of TRAM fans in Brisbane to this day. Thank you for posting. I will send Mrs Way a letter - I am sure the family will be pleased that Mr Way is FAMOUS for his trams.

My grandad was a tram driver, he celebrated his 45th birthday on the last day of trams.

Best thing they ever did! Railway doesn’t belong on the roads
