I also think the problem is with this particular video, the sound quality is very crappy; look for another recordings of that show, such as I Want Out, where he rocks this one out. Better than Deris, but that it's not so hard..

Deris is a good singer IMO. Definitely no Kiske but he did save Helloween from becoming complete garbage.
