Love the decor here. I love Salisbury steak. Make it quite often at home and that chicken sure does look good. Love meatloaf and cabbage. That looks good. That salad looks like a meal in itself. I would get that banana pudding and blackberry cobbler.. Thank you for a great video today.
Everything we tried was very good. The chicken was my favorite. My mom used to make the Salisbury steak when we were growing up. You couldn't make a meal out of that salad bar.😎😎

Great video, I enjoyed seeing a bit of home. It was also nice to remember friends, as carl Perkins was a neighbor growing up and my Dad was good friends with Ike Shaw. He helped him procure some of the items on display. I remember on day coming home and Ike's big white Cadillac was in the driveway. He and Dad had been out collecting stuff, the car was stuffed to the roof inside and the trunk was over flowing. Thank you for refreshing the memories. It will always be one of my favorite places to eat, anywhere. PB

I loved that shot of the steam coming off of all of the food - what a great video! Loved Bobbie's second plate! I'm like you - I like cornbread sweet and buttery! I am surprised that Dollywood put all that pepper in cabbage. I've never known cabbage to be peppery. I would not touch it with pepper. hehe I would have loved to try that pot pie - I have a weakness for that. LOL This seems like a very nice place and I love that country store. Seems like the people are kind and it looks clean. Great job!

You grew up like us in a great time. Charleston Chews were so very good. We love these old time candies and still buy them when we see them. Loved the gigantic pixie sticks with that sour powder in them. Can’t find them much anymore. Sams Club had them 2 years ago and we bought them they had 96 of them in it. Gave them out (after I ate a bunch) at Halloween. 😎😎
Wow, that was a great price for all that yummy food, you sure can't be that. My husband went to a Super Bowl watching party at a local bar and they were selling a $25.00 super bowl buffet, I don't think they had nearly as much good food as you had on this one. I'd love going in to the old country store, how much fun to see all those old time candies. Thanks for taking us along.

I went to the Old Country Store for breakfast last week and it was delicious, including the coffee. I just wish I could eat more at one sitting before getting full. I wanted a little of EVERYTHING!
I love the interior…. So colorful and rustic….That buffet is huge!!!! The got ham on the buffet just for John!!! I think Bobbie, like me loves a great buffet…If anybody leaves here hungry they didn’t come hungry… I love buffets!!!! I just hate going seeing a lot of people wasting food..That gift shop was big and a great assortment of things…Thanks for another great video…❤
They did have a great selection and Ham. Deborah as you said I love Ham but that was the only thing that didn’t look good. We never take more than we can eat so trying everything is not going to happen. Glad you enjoyed the video as filming a buffet is our hardest food videos to do. We do love doing buffets and will do many more.😎😎

I plan to visit Holmes County Ohio in the near future. I have been there before (day trip) but really was not familiar with the area but you two have opened my eyes to lots of possibilities, thanks again for all your hard work!
Today this restaurant has to be my all-time new favorite buffet if that is possible! The food just has to outshine even the Shady Maple Buffet the Amish put out. And that is a bold statement from me. When you were going through the first time, I noticed the meatloaf tray looked empty and thought "Well that must be everyone's favorite! Too bad I won't be able to see it on a plate! Dang!" Next thing I see, Bobbie didn't let me down. The info it had onions and bell peppers in it and then the picture of it glistening on her plate made my mouth water and think that I needed to get a plane ticket and cross America from Oregon to eat there! And then go back to the Cafe side for Ice cream. Oh wait! I would get the blackberry cobbler and have that after the meat loaf and mashed potatoes with the meatloaf tomato sauce across the top of the mashed potatoes!!! Thank you guys for ALWAYS being a class act. I can depend on you for showing us the best places with your kind and happy view points over the years. Full of holiday cheer. Always with full respect to each other and the care of the owners. Thank you for always sharing the patriotism to our country and small town heartbeat. You both shine with integrity! And share at least one holiday show where the decorations and you both dressed with care and Bobbie with her gorgeous hair and fingernails done up in a holiday themed outfit. Today beat out my other favorite State Fair videos by just a snap!
WOW THIS OLD COUNTRY BUFFETT IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BUFFETT!!!! Love CARL PERKINS AND CASEY JONES! MY DAD HAD THEIR RECORDS SO I GREW UP WITH ELVIS AND CARL AND CASEY! EVERYTHING ON THAT BUFFETT I WOULD TRY IN LITTLE BITES SO I COULD TRY EVERYTHING. ALWAYS CHANGING THATS GOOD. LOVE THE PICTURES ON THE WALL BY THE ARTISTS. OH MY JOHN THE STEAK, CATFISH, MAC N CHEESE. PASTA SALAD. BOBBIE GOT MY PLATE BAKED CHICKEN, MASHED POTATOES, SPINACH AND CHEESE, SWEET POTATOES. EXCELLENT ALL HOMEADE I CAN SEE IT.

Thats my hometown. We had school trips there because its more than just a store and buffet. They had a train museum out there and some other places to shop. Right across the street is a tacobell and wafflehouse. And they used to have concerts out there in the field where Casey Jones house is located.
nice buffet, the art work is a nice touch, hot good quality food and well replenished, I believe the cornbread are actually hoecakes, meant to be eaten with butter and maple syrup, I make them for breakfast or as a side to ham, the sweetness of the syrup offsets the saltiness of the ham, great video, thanks for sharing

I've always liked that place. Been years since we've been there. We don't do buffets much anymore. On an interesting side note I used to interact with WS Holland often when I was a Co-manager at Hobby Lobby. He came in often to get art work framed. He was a nice guy. Good food there though .
@J & B In The Hills There's a legend that he only became Johnny's drummer because he was the only one with a car. He didn't know anything about drums but he had a car so he got the job..lol. Don't know how true that is.
I have seen this place advertised before I definitely wanted to try it, try Monels in Nashville like your southern grandmother's food, it buffet style where you sit at big table with who ever comes in
Cracker Barrel actually got the idea for their restaurants from the original location of The Old Country Store. I went to school with the founder’s grandson.
Great price for a buffet. I always know John will get Mac and cheese. I’m curious to know, who has your favorite? Honestly, I like Chick-fil- A’s. Anytime I see fried chicken, I wish my favorite wasn’t 20 hours from me. I’m in Texas, it’s in Michigan. I don’t like fried chicken that much but find myself wishing I had some of Zehnder’s in Frankenmuth Michigan. Have you been there before? Their chicken dinners are world famous. 🐓🍗 As well as the Bavarian Inn across the street. Frankenmuth is a wonderful destination. They also have Bronner’s Wonderland. The world’s largest Christmas store. If you have been, and have a video, please let me know, so I can look it up. 😊 Thanks for sharing.
We have never been there but hope to go. My favorite Chicken is Gus’s Fried Chicken in Memphis And Mac n Cheese I would have to really think. You are right about me I always get it but I can’t remember who had the best. Wow, the quality of food at that buffet for the price is unbeatable. The nagstolgic candy at the end was ever so sweet. Up here in Canada, that price cannot even get you a food court meal.

I loved that shot of the steam coming off of all of the food - what a great video! Loved Bobbie's second plate! I'm like you - I like cornbread sweet and buttery! I am surprised that Dollywood put all that pepper in cabbage. I've never known cabbage to be peppery. I would not touch it with pepper. hehe I would have loved to try that pot pie - I have a weakness for that. LOL This seems like a very nice place and I love that country store. You grew up like us in a great time. Charleston Chews were so very good. We love these old time candies and still buy them when we see them. Loved the gigantic pixie sticks with that sour powder in them. Can’t find them much anymore. Sams Club had them 2 years ago and we bought them they had 96 of them in it. Gave them out (after I ate a bunch) at Halloween. 😎😎

Wow, that was a great price for all that yummy food, you sure can't be that. My husband went to a Super Bowl watching party at a local bar and they were selling a $25.00 super bowl buffet, I don't think they had nearly as much good food as you had on this one. They did have a great selection and Ham. Deborah as you said I love Ham but that was the only thing that didn’t look good. We never take more than we can eat so trying everything is not going to happen. Glad you enjoyed the video as filming a buffet is our hardest food videos to do. The food just has to outshine even the Shady Maple Buffet the Amish put out. And that is a bold statement from me.
When you were going through the first time, I noticed the meatloaf tray looked empty and thought "Well that must be everyone's favorite! Too bad I won't be able to see it on a plate! Dang!"
Next thing I see, Bobbie didn't let me down. The info it had onions and bell peppers in it and then the picture of it glistening on her plate made my mouth water and think that I needed to get a plane ticket and cross America from Oregon to eat there! And then go back to the Cafe side for Ice cream.
Oh wait! I would get the blackberry cobbler and have that after the meat loaf and mashed potatoes with the meatloaf tomato sauce across the top of the mashed potatoes!!!

WOW THIS OLD COUNTRY BUFFETT IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BUFFETT!!!! Love CARL PERKINS AND CASEY JONES! MY DAD HAD THEIR RECORDS SO I GREW UP WITH ELVIS AND CARL AND CASEY! Thats my hometown. We had school trips there because its more than just a store and buffet. They had a train museum out there and some other places to shop. Right across the street is a tacobell and wafflehouse. And they used to have concerts out there in the field where Casey Jones house is located.

nice buffet, the art work is a nice touch, hot good quality food and well replenished, I believe the cornbread are actually hoecakes, meant to be eaten with butter and maple syrup, I make them for breakfast or as a side to ham, the sweetness of the syrup offsets the saltiness of the ham, great video, thanks for sharing

I've always liked that place. Been years since we've been there. We don't do buffets much anymore. On an interesting side note I used to interact with WS Holland often when I was a Co-manager at Hobby Lobby. He came in often to get art work framed. He was a nice guy. Good food there though .

Cracker Barrel actually got the idea for their restaurants from the original location of The Old Country Store. I went to school with the founder’s grandson.
Great price for a buffet. I always know John will get Mac and cheese. I’m curious to know, who has your favorite? Honestly, I like Chick-fil- A’s. Anytime I see fried chicken, I wish my favorite wasn’t 20 hours from me. I’m in Texas, it’s in Michigan. I don’t like fried chicken that much but find myself wishing I had some of Zehnder’s in Frankenmuth Michigan. Have you been there before? Their chicken dinners are world famous. 🐓🍗 As well as the Bavarian Inn across the street. Frankenmuth is a wonderful destination. They also have Bronner’s Wonderland. The world’s largest Christmas store. If you have been, and have a video, please let me know, so I can look it up. 😊 Thanks for sharing.
We have never been there but hope to go. My favorite Chicken is Gus’s Fried Chicken in Memphis And Mac n Cheese I would have to really think. You are right about me I always get it but I can’t remember who had the best. Wow, the quality of food at that buffet for the price is unbeatable. The nagstolgic candy at the end was ever so sweet. Up here in Canada, that price cannot even get you a food court meal.
