Just got a deal Vision Pro series Kamado. Chilli red. Really like it. Did first blood 1.5lb porterhouse fatties . Charcoal and mesquite chips.

I started with the Charbroil Kamander which I bought used for cheap. I loved the thing, seemed like a do it all smoker/grill. I could sear at 600*+ or smoke at 225*. Your initial list of cons is spot on, especially for airflow and capacity. Its hard to get good smoke without heating up the grill too much and when you do it cant be in high quantity. Based on your other videos I am looking at getting an offset stick burner as my first new grill, just figuring out whats worth the money. I will always keep my Kamander for searing and roasting but for smoking I need to change to a different style.

I have a kamado Big Joe 2 and a kamado Big Joe 3 the smoke roller Works wonderful in the three you can really tell the difference between the kamado Joe 2 without the Slover alert and a kamado Joe 3
Can’t wait for part 2, I had a BGE, but want a larger grill and looking to get the best bang for my buck

What do you think about Dome Grill Infinity?
I've looked it over. It looks fine as far as it goes. I would have to do more research to be certain, but at first glance it doesn't seem to have quite the level of innovation as the kamado Joe 3 series, but it seems to compete well with vision.

I almost bought the Big Joe 3 today.
I declined because it was $2800!
I went to Pitboss and their grill was $1000 but it is lacking.
I went back to amazon and the price of the Big Joe 3 suspiciously dropped to $2200.

Man you should have held off for a sale. Atlanta grills last year has the bj3 including the joetisserie at less than 2200. I see you getting the bj3 in the future and retiring that pit boss. There is just no comparison
