we need to normalize naturally curly hair here in the ph. ever since i was like, 6, my family would insist that my hair should be straightened. so annoying. THEY'RE JUST JEALOUS BC THEY HAVE BASIC HAIR 😭😭😭

Hi. You’re fighting to be better, im proud of u 😊 take it one step at a time. This whole routine took me quite a while to build. I started with just conditioner, and then incorporating the techniques, then i started to use more products, like the deep conditioner. It’s not a one time thing, you can build it slowly. 😊 i hope that makes it easier for you. Rooting for u 🙌🏻

Watching this from Washington state, I'm filipino and I've just recently learned to embrace my naturally wavy and curly hair and just learned how to take care of it. After meeting my girlfriend I've noticed she seems to have damaged hair. ik women's hair is different so I'm here to learn as much as I can help her get her healthy hair back

Unlike some of the people in the comments, i was never forced to straighten my hair, i got it straightened by choice because i hate how thick my hair got when i was 9. The curls just stopped being defined and became separated. Now i'm more motivated to take care of my hair because i'm dying to have a cute 80s-inspired hair cut soon 😫😫😫 thank you for this video!! You have, by far, the most moisturized hair among curly hair tubers out there. I think their problem is protein overload. Plust they use the shampoo up to their tips. The contioner-shampoo method is also way better than the conventional shampoo-conditioner method.

i love this! we need more diversity talaga, ive noticed kasi how alot of ppl sa ating bansa has that "straight hair supremacy'', and growing up with very curly hair i was forced to fit in that standard - causing me to undergo rebond which had damaged my natural curls so much, the ignorance of my own parents were not helping at all rin kasi instead of encouraging me to do a curly hair routine to embrace my natural curls they instead encouraged the damaging medicines instead. As i matured mas nagagandahan ako sa kulot na buhok and i wish i didn't damage my natural hair at the age of nine😥

I'm also Filipina and I have spent over a year looking for someone who shares the same texture and curl pattern as me. All the other curly girls I see on YT got fine or medium texture but Southeast asian hair is like a whole different texture on its own because it's so thick and coarse and curly-haired Asians aren't common. So thank you for making this content! Also, when you get your layers cut, do you go to any hairdresser or do you go to a curly hair specialist?
Glad I could help! I’ve never gotten a haircut from a specialist before 🥺 tho i wanna try. I usually just go to whatever salon is near, they usually don’t know how to handle curly hair so getting a layered haircut is always the safest route for me (they’ll always tell you to try rebonding or other treatments to “help” your hair, firmly say no hehe)
@@AltheaClaire Most hairdressers refuse to layer my hair kasi aalsa daw. But my curls are always prettier and easier to manage when layered. My hair is thicker than yours but it’s 2c-3a. It looks almost like a puff ball at the ends when cut straight. I hope I can find another hairdresser who knows how to manage my hair type.

when i was little my hair would form some sort of ringlet at the bottoms but then i was always thought to brush my hair every time out of the shower so my hair always dried straight with a lil bit of curlllll but now that i’m 15 my hair has suddenly become super wavy maybe cuz i don’t comb it straight out of the shower lol but ima try ur method thank you!

Btw type 2 hair is wavy not curly. You and this youtuber have wavy hair not curly.

when i was around 3-5 years old i used to have a wavy/curly hair but I think when my aunt took me to a hair salon they decide to cut my hair basically a boy cut from then till now I'm 18 na my curls/wavy hair didn't come back, thank for this routine ate 🥹

@@mayari638 Most often I let my hair down kapag nasa bahay (which is like frequently kasi nga quarantine) and yea I either tie my hair up in a bun or put it into a braid 😩

Hello from Malaysia! Love this video! Not too many products and your hair is soo beautiful ! I have the same curls , but the hair on the top of my head is always dry. Even when i used conditioner.. would love to try this routine of yours once i finish my deep conditioner!
And also, do i have to / must use a diffuser to get the curl results? I dont own a hair dryer and usually just let it air dry on its own. Would that effect the curls?

I still air dry most times. Usually, I diffuse when I’m in a hurry. For me, the diffuser mostly helps with volume but even with air drying, you can achieve the same results. You might also want to look into plopping, for more defined curls without heat 🤍

hi ate, can I get advice on how I can restore my hair? may hair used to be really curly when i was a kid until my mom had it rebonded my hair at 10. my hair became really damaged afterwards.
I lost my curls. my hair kinda became wavy but most of all, my hair is now super frizzy, dry, coarse, high porosity-- basically my hair is was just a mess. my old beautiful curls was now replaced by a big floof of frizz that I can't tame unless rebonded.
I had no other choice than to let it be rebonded 5 more times and I'm just sad because I don't know if I can even repair my hair anymore.
I really want to repair my hair but I don't even know where to start..
I have recently bought products, such as coconut oil, shea moisture leave-in conditioner and dry shampoo in hopes that it might do something.

I have never rebonded my hair before so I may not be the best person to ask but hope my routine helps you! Just be patient because your hair has taken a lot of damage from years of rebonding.
