I grew alongside Porcupine Tree, Pineapple Thief, Riverside, Opeth and Tool. I might not have the best life or have made the perfect decisions, but god damn I did choose the right music to grow with.
I sat in the room with a view The girl in the photograph knew Can't you see? Why is she laughing at me? I stumbled through the dark unaware The face in the hall isn't there Tomorrow has gone Where do the voices come from? Watching the leaves as they blew Lost in the room with a view Climb the walls You did not know me at all I fell through a hole in the floor The audience cried out for more Fade away It's just another day Hit heaven far too high.
I know Porcupine Tree for around 3 years now, but I returned to them exactly tonight, song after song, album after album. My heart is torn apart, for who knows how many times now... And somehow I managed to put all that into a poem and I managed to release the guilt of spending hours in misery, instead... it turned into creativity. I adore you, Porcupine Tree and whoever uploaded them. Thank you for saving me.
i agree and find porcupine trees music, as well as Steven Wilson's himself, very calming and makes the listeners able to relate to the emotions in the music. it has helped me alot myself get through tough times recently.
Spandan Madan seen John Wesley in YBOR he opened for Steve Wilson a few months ago. He was AWSOME!!! Fantastic show Steve Wilson was incredible as Usual.
Steven's is awesome in so many ways. Just like to see John rise to the occasion and he does. John's harmony is also incredible. I feel he's an integral and key member of the band on tour!
I love PT. Wes has created a whole new song with his interpretation, adding authenticity and emotionality. I feel internally torn. It makes me want to fadeaway...
This album took so long to grow on me. at first I was ready to bin it. now, it's an all time classic. I'm used to the remastered edition though, which normally doesn't mean anything.. but this one's night n day
Great version of an already great song. Very pleasantly surprised by the haunting emotional power behind John's vocals. Nice one John! PT are the are the musical shrine at which all should pray
I love this version of the song! I remember the PT concert in 2009 when me and my friend were standing in front row just in front of John. He is such a sweetheart!
Wenn man Pink Floyd Fan ist dann ist dieser Song eine Sensation!!!!Aber nicht nur der von Porcupine Tree...Hab ne neue Playlist gemacht, einfach Genial die Jungs!!
I split with the only girl I ever loved 7 months ago …no reasons were given..….I have struggled with life since and had depression for a first time ever….porcupine tree and Steven Wilson have helped with this….trying to move on a find a reason for life now 🤷🏻♂️
Looking at the spirits, the spirits that fall,...... Holding the aura, of a shadow from the wall, ....Feeling the light,.. from the echo of the bell.....waiting to reach the spirit that fell, ........ and faded away................
First listened this version in 2009 i guess.. and i tought steven's voice.. but then i discovered 1993 version and i realized the difference between two versions.. and vocals.. and i suprised because i didn't know Wesley sings this version.. and i loved wesley more than anything, this song is killing me.. :/
I know, and I have been proven wrong anyway since then, ever since and including Fear of a Blank Planet, Wesley does provide backing vocals on PT studio records.
This version is sung by Wesley. In reality it is not a studio album as it is a studio live session of mostly Lightbulb stuff. You can still buy it on PT Official Merchandise

Thats not music, thats not a song.
Indeed..
This band is the best kept secret.
I discovered This Yesterday, I am amazed
It’s too late for that
I sat in the room with a view
The girl in the photograph knew
Can't you see?
Why is she laughing at me?
I stumbled through the dark unaware
The face in the hall isn't there
Tomorrow has gone
Where do the voices come from?
Watching the leaves as they blew
Lost in the room with a view
Climb the walls
You did not know me at all
I fell through a hole in the floor
The audience cried out for more
Fade away
It's just another day
Hit heaven far too high.
Que cancionsota. ¡Muchas gracias! 🍷
I never thought that I could love any band like Pink Floyd or Tool...
This song has an incredible capacity of letting me listen to it without thinking in anything else. Unexplainable feeling, like it...
I love both versions ... but Wes voice and emotions are unbelivable ...
Bass line, slide guitar, voices, drum, synth backgrounding, progression...entirely brilliant, guys!!!!
LOVE IT
I love Wilson's vocal, but Wes knocks it out the park with his, imo...
Smokey McSmoothvoice
John Wesley has a great voice.
This song is better when sang by John.
@@slithered Steven Wilson’s version is more deep.

Good luck to you. Rest assured that she most certainly didn't leave you because of your taste in music!
@@Ben__DavidHa thanks man
I'd like to hear more songs with wesley's vocals...
Porcupine Tree, or songs by SW are not songs per se, they are emotions, which everybody feels differently.
Aniruddh Bhattacharya meraviglioso......
meravigliosi.....nn aggiungo altro..
Fabio Caprari, thanks man, or should I say Grazie :)
Fabio Caprari, can you pls say it in English. I don't know Italian, u see. So, i have totally no idea what u r saying...

Heavy rainfall
Hostel Block A
And fadeaway❤
Really stunning cover by John, hit me with a shovel cause i can't believe the genius of him!!!
George Milonas Not a cover as its just John singing it instead of Steven. Rest of the band is still playing it
I was present for the very first time John Wesley performed this song live with the band. It was sublime. And awesome. Aweslime?
Remember "Way out of here" and "Half Light".
Play this at my funeral…
Such a beautiful song, just the way they sort of effortlessly stroll through the song.. hey who said music is dead?
Wesley’s voice in My Ashes live is amazing
I remember seeing John Wesley when he supported marillion. He was fantastic.
Photobyke yes I got his cd at concert , so glad he made it to a decent level even if it’s not on his own.
Thanks for this musical sansation
wasn't expecting this version. am pleasantly surprised by this version.
Che dire? Steve è un genio!

First listened this version in 2009 i guess.. and i tought steven's voice.. but then i discovered 1993 version and i realized the difference between two versions.. and vocals.. and i suprised because i didn't know Wesley sings this version.. and i loved wesley more than anything, this song is killing me.. :/
Great song.
I have no words...
Love the drums ... what a great group, reminds me King Crimson, Floyd and a bit o Zeppelin.
Gavin Harrison (drummer) played in King Crimson
thank you for the info.
Capolavoro, brividi.
Wesley sounds like the girl from Roxette.
This music is still sweet as though. It's just too good.
Just brilliant
Wesley does this particular song better than Steve... Been listening to this on a loop for a while.
But man I miss those flutes! as it is hands down my favourite part of the original song! Couldnt they have done something atleast?
Wesley killed it...
Amazing song : amazing band
Nothing else to say :: PT no-1 ever
SW sempre fabuloso ✌
Steven Wilson (solista) y Porcupine Tree (grupo) generan temas que en la mayoría son obras maestras.
Este não é o SW.
Steven Wilson, guitarrista, vocalista e mentor do grupo.
Esse não é o Steven Wilson que tá tocando. Lê ali na descrição do vídeo.
Pó de crer.
You should listen to "Way Out of Here" from the Anesthetize DVD more often. ;)
