    The Sixers first four years were played at the Philadelphia Arena, Civic Center-Convention Hall, and The Palestra at the University of Pennsylvania.

    The same thing happened here in Detroit. We have the Lions, Tigers, Pistons, and Red Wings downtown now. It actually boosted our downtown area.

      you dont understand. theres ZERO room for this stadium where their planning it. HALF if not more of the fans that go to the games, drive from the suburbs. They aint gettin on the broad street line or the EL LOL. Not to mention, theres an entire section of Philly already dedicated to the teams. Its called the Sports Complex. All our stadiums in the middle of square MILES of parking lots. Nobody that lives here wants this. They just dont want to share with the Flyers anymore and wont build their own in the existing complex. Its horse shit and nobody wants this.
      If it aint broke, dont fix it.

    Wait till you see how much ticket prices will go up ...concessions will be nuts...Parking will be 100.00 by then , to park in a garage ..
    The average fan and families will be priced out !!! Wells Fargo is undergoing a huge renovations as we speak .....its a big money Grab for the owners of the Sixers

    • @charleskra
      @charleskra 2 года назад +3

      It already is too expensive, but I don't see ticket prices going up that much. The money grab is that Harris Blitzer will own the arena and get every penny generated by it, whereas now they pay rent to Comcast and don't get squat, other than their own ticket and merch sales.

    They should build the arena in Kensington , change the name to the "Philly Nodders" , instead of shooting t-shirts out to the fans in the arena they can shoot out hyperdermic needles and some fentanyl.
    No bathrooms in the new arena , just defecate / urinate where convenient like K&A.

      How about the Navy Yard. Right off 95, near the other Sports Complex, plenty of parking, they could also build a high rise parking lot, cheaper parking. They are building down there like crazy. Medical offices, Condos, many restaurants. Great area near the water.. Beautiful views of the river. People could travel by Ferry.

      They already own their own stadium.(Wells), Comcast owns the flyers,wells,xfinity live.
      That's the reason the 76ers want out. They don't get choice of dates, and more than likely are on the short end of concessions. And see the money that xfinitu live makes. Owning their own spot puts all that money in the own pockets. The other point is that it's all privately funded not 1 tax dollar used.

    Sixers want an arena like Madison Square Garden which is often called the worlds greatest arena. If it Phila gets this arena it could transform the city.

    • @Bxr400
      @Bxr400 2 года назад +3

      If the city wants to transform something, transform another part of the city, like Kensington Ave!!! This is going to be a huge boom for Septa!!! can u imagine the ticket price for the cheapest seat in that place by that time? By that time, the only way u get to see the sixers is on pay by view……. also by 2030 it would be nicer and cheaper to renovate the Wells arena. change is going to come that a WHOLE LOT people just not gonna like this idea when it’s done. I mean think about this…….. drivers coming to and from Philadelphia complain how trashy the highways are. What’s the city’s response…… take regional rails, subways etc. that’ll get u to the nice sparkling stadium. This idea is good for the million and billionaires, but it’s a raw deal for the people of the city.

    • @13bcoffee
      @13bcoffee 2 года назад +1
