- No relation to Jack...........The D11 Bulldozer on a Mission to Rip & Strip the overlaying rock. Moving slightly east from the prior digs this particular part of the mine has a 10 meter layer of sandstone covering the coal seam. Current approach is to separate it with the rock saws before the D11 and excavators move in. Hard going and a lot of work for a 4 meter coal seam down below.

Great video. Lot´s of action in one frame. Love the title.
Weird seeing moxies in the same circuit as rear dumps... but it’s obviously a very small operation, using RD’s for the overburden and the little moxies for production.
So tiny.
Another great vid as usual, thanks for sharing.
Liked.
Power power
Great video. Loads of action
Impresionante, un saludo
ripping rock has a unique sound to it
wicked,,what are they mining there?that cant be coal.and where is it they have cool cats too,im in bc canada
They appear to be open-cutting old underground workings.
Looked like the xcavator oper was crowding th "ripper" on the pull. I guess he could maybe keep him from goin over the edge if that stuff crumbled?
Great video man, I bet teeth don't last long on that dozer.
Thousands of pounds of force on the shank I seen them share in half
Robert Duran I saw a ripper box snap in half once.
Where is this?
Stellarton Nova Scotia Canada.
short rips tooth dont get as hot but ya probly 24 hr max
Amazing to see such a huge machine stopped so easily..
it is being stoped but not easily its because you don't understand the power that is required to move the rock
Muy buen video maquinaspoderosas
That kind of dozing operation will cause premature breakdown of your dozer life against its projected normal economical equipment life, such procedure is not productive, better to resort for a drill and blast operation that will guarantee production goal.
what they are thinking is that the dozer is still under warranty, and breakdowns are free of charge.
premature breakdown on the drill the amount of time it takes to drill the holes expensive of exsposives and dangers not a good idea.
you can see there are tunnels there so it was probably an old underground mine turned into an open pit mine. Maybe they are afraid of caving if they use those procedures. Ripping with dozer is more expensive but I guess safer?
bellissime immagini vorrei vedere qualcosa delle cave italiane
gotta like that

I call bullshit. You would not be ripping with the shank that long if it was "hard".
