Finally watching! Might add a few comments as I go. The little tabs you use to hang your lights is brilliant. I started to use similar lights in the hot tent in the fall. Mine are solar powered off their own little pannel. Adds an awesome ambiance to the tent. Yhose tabs look like such a smart idea. I've always loved the mods to the jeep with the storage and the little table.
Check out the video I did on Jeep modifications, shows a better view of the slide out table. It’s been modified since then to be shorter, but it should give you a pretty good idea. Also, go following me on IG, same handle name. I’ll do a story in the next few days on how I built the platform.
Dude! Great trip. The breakfast looked amazing! Biscuits and Gravy? Loved the video brother , fun to test yourself. You had a lot of good tips in here. I want to get camping all 12 months next year. That's my outdoors New Years Resolution. I think last year I hit every month except December. I find December so hard because it's busy with Christmas. Again, excellent video AJ!!!
Dan, thanks for watching brother. I’m really hoping to up the camping videos in 2023. Now that we are “out here” on the west coast, we really get to start doing some more of those types of adventures. Already researching some backpacking trails in the area
Thanks for the video, sir. Would you be able to share a little bit more detail about what you did for the folding bed for this Jeep? I'm interested in setting up something similar with the folding hinges that you used.
I made a panel that goes into a half open rear window on my WJ. When its going to be really cold I have a cheapo self contained diesel heater I pipe thru that panel. It will cook you out.
I love the body Pillow Idea at first but I can understand why it didn't work well. I bought a small backpacking inflatable pillow but I rarely use it now. I find the inflatables are just too firm! Lately been using my stuff sack from the sleeping pad or sleeping bag and Stuffing unused clothing in it to use as a pillow. I find that is so much more comfortable and you can fluff up the parts you want to distribute the filling better for comfort.
@OutdoorsPodcast me and my wife are trying to plan a 1 night stay at the beach. Wondering how tight it might be. I'm 5'7 she 5'2. Keep up the awesome videos.
check out my video on 2005 Jeep Modifications a little further back in my channel. The jeep is white but I show the platform in a lot more detail. You can also see it in the video I did on camping on the Kentucky roadtrip.
This makes me want to get a tent and air mattress for my truck. Pull tab idea for the lights is great!
You could totally do that Bill. I’m a fan of use what works, or what you’ve got, and piece it together as you go.
@@OutdoorsPodcast I’m thinking for a quick over night fishing excursion that would be perfect 👍🏻
I love the mattress thanks for this post. Y ou gave me few few ideas
Sweet setup my dude. Love the advice at the end. Just get out there and try things out, doesn’t have to be perfect.
Absolutely Frank, just start playing around with stuff, it’ll come together eventually

Thanks buddy. The solar panel would be awesome, these lights will burn through batteries if it’s cold outside
Can't wait to watch this one!!!
Up your alley Dan
I would love to see how you built the platform. I have the same Jeep and absolutely love that slide out table!

I used standard cabinet hinges, nothing fancy at all

I’m actually going to be doing an entire video on camping pillows here shortly. I made some modifications to the body pillow!
Just wondering, ever slept in your WK in a beach ?
Not on the beach, illegal in most places in Oregon after dark, but I haven absolutely sleep in the Jeep in other camping scenarios

You'd probably be alright, but you'll want to get pretty much everything else out of the jeep, or into the front seats, so you have all the room
How did u make the platform with the slide out board ??
check out my video on 2005 Jeep Modifications a little further back in my channel. The jeep is white but I show the platform in a lot more detail. You can also see it in the video I did on camping on the Kentucky roadtrip.
