she is so stunning. looking forward to viewing this film.
No one would have known the ending is in there if you hadn't told them- trailers are only visual teasers to those who haven't seen the movie yet, and events are just a blur in a trailer...
That's Godard's plan. Many of his early trailers, which he cut himself, are pretty much the entire movie in microcosm. CONTEMPT, BAND OF OUTSIDERS, MASCULINE FEMININE - their trailers all essentially contain the endings of their movies. I guess that was part of his attitude to trailers. Ebert likens it to when they give free cheese at the supermarket - eat it, and you know everything about the cheese, so what the manufacturer is hoping is that you'll want to buy a bigger chunk of it.
The end if the movie isn't meant to be a climax in new wave films, like it is in most hollywood cinema. "a movie has a beginning, middle and end but not necessarily in that order" loosely quoted from Godard
I don't care about the ending of films, though i didn't expect he would allow such a thing! Anyway, I love this film. Don't watch it only for seeing the ending!
I just noticed for the first time Karina, in this film, looks very much like Juliette Binoche in Mauvais Sang. The hair is almost identical. I wonder if Carax had Vivre sa vie in mind.
Love this movie.
The cinema is not the station.
The cinema is the train.
Mike Leigh sent me.
I was going to go on a little London break next month..i`ve changed my plans.
Was just watching his closet picks! I heard Ana Karina is in it, which I have seen pictures of the beautiful woman. And I like the dialogue of Godard's Breathless. I will have to check it out!
Great movie!
Ce film est l'un de ses meilleurs. Portrait touchant d'une profession respectable, plein de sensibilité et d'intelligence sur la condition de la femme prostituée. Merci Mr Godard pour votre oeuvre.

This movie was a snore.
You're a snore.
Mister Jdvik that’s not true, the film was a snore but you’re too bogged down in creation to focus on the audience
To focus on the entire audience or a part of it?
This film sucks
