I think I need more clarification on the WHEN file. I believe the point is to get away from separate private Folders but I'm having difficulty. I've got a Budget Folder so instead am I supposed to list a folder that states When Budgeting? Is this not the same thing but potentially eliminating other private folders? My apologies if I'm making it harder than needed.
Hi Cat - I think you got it right. The workflow would be something like this: 1. Emails come in regarding budgeting. 2. You place them in the When Budgeting folder. 3. When you actually sit down to do budgeting, all those emails are there. That said, if they are one off emails and you make budget adjustments as you receive budget related requests, you might be better off putting them in the Do or Reply folders. Does that help?
I’m having a hard time understanding the “flagging” process, especially for the reply folder. Why would you flag it instead of just replying to it? I’m watching the videos in order on the playlist so this may be answered later in the series.
Hi Debbie - we actually have new guidance on this, which is to do what you said - just reply to them all. If you go to StackMethod.com and go down to section two (www.stackmethod.com/#get-to-zero) and then find your client (Gmail - Outlook - Apple Mail), and then find the video at the bottom with guidance on opening emails in multiple tabs / windows. If you're confused at all, just drop us an email at StackMethod.com and I'll email you back with the appropriate links based on your platform.
Hi! The purpose of the Do folder is determine what can be done in less than five minutes and determine what needs time in your calendar outside your Stacking session. For tasks that will take more than your designated Stacking time you can separately put time in your calendar to complete it whenever you get a chance. Please let us know if this answers your question!

What happens, when a “Do” mail takes hours to actually do it? Guess this won’t fit in the 9:05-9:55 timeframe :)
