Legal Dye is a Z shape across the arena, from letter corner to opposite letter corner. If you enter the dye to the left, you have to exit the the right. An illegal dye is a triangle shape across the arena. If you enter AND exit the dye in the same direction, that would be illegal!

@@hhhhhhh7627 try riding an illegal dye based on my explanation! You'll notice that it's a triangle rather than a Z shape across the arena. It's hard to explain here so you can try riding it yourself or making a diagram!
