Burn core is 1000% better than friend core, burn is just a lot stronger than poison. and since all core items can be gotten very early friend and burn will have roughly the same amount of tempo. I prefer 100k hp pyg tho.
I think it's bugged because I have never seen that skill used, but the odds should be a little higher because the encounter doesn't have a lot of items
full release is for july/august planned open beta where you can play for free is for end of february currently but that delayed already quite some time so it could be delayed again mobile launch is planned for Q4 2025 but could also change

ye I agree with burn > friend, I do feel like friend core is more fun because it allows slightly more builds
