Wrong title. This should be chapter 3-5, not chapter 5.

I don't think it matters if it were a 24-hour day, or perhaps, what God created in that segment of time period He chose to create. It matters not, because earth speed rotation and earth moon system rotation has changed over time. There is also earth and moon speed rotation around the sun. There are many factors. It could be plain speech to explain the creation event. I give it little thought because it is not salvation pending is it.

This is a great disappointment. Dr. Gertsner is so solid on everything, but his explanation about Creation is really hard to understand. Of course Charles Hodge and BB Warfield were leaning toward theistic evolution and he has been greatly influenced by them. The context of Genesis 1 will not allow anything but a literal 24 hour day. God says "and there was evening and morning, the first (second, third, etc) day. Yom in the context can only mean a literal 24 hour day. To interpret it any other way is to be guilty of twisting Scripture to prove a point that is totally out of character for Dr. Gertsner. Just proof that "the best of men are men at best". I still love him just as much. He certainly knows better now. Bless God.

He's in hell with all his Arminian friends he called brothers. If you call the devil your brother, you don't know God.

It is sad to see gertsner fall into the trap of liberalism at least touching creation we can not acomódate evolution into the Bible

How so? I've never heard Gerstner spout anything liberal.

He's a gutless coward who respects "science" falsely so called rather than the plain and simple word of God.

Joshua Theo yes very sad 😔 I think it was a sign of his era. There wasn’t such a creation ministry back then. We are very blessed to have this strong ministries today.

true, it is grateful that God gave us the truth through the people who do creation ministries that help us know what is the truth to glorify Him more and more.

Sounds like some low key propaganda against the likes of Gerstner...hmmm

Holding to an old-earth creation model does not mean holding to theistic evolution. There are several positions on this. Gerstner didn't once say anything tending toward theistic evolution. He just said, "it's old."

Not surprising if you know that he departed from the fundamentals of the faith.
