This series just gets better and better! A plethora of great ideas! Thanks so much! We'll be watching this again to take notes! Safe travels! Brendan & Lena
YES! Thank you for the Windy.com app suggestion! We have most of the others, but this one was missing in our life. LOVE the series! Keep'em coming. We're also retired military.
You can also go to the DOT website for each state for weather, road conditions, state park information, road closures, etc...A lot of them now have cameras on the major state highways that update every 10 minutes where you can actually look at the road and traffic conditions, too.
Wish I could add information to this video, but you guys covered all the information for me. I actually learned of a few, so thank you. Again, my favorite military retired RVers on youtube. Great video.
You two are spot on. I have enjoyed videos immensely and shared your site with others. Hope to see you on thr road someday. God bless and safe travels.
This y be one of my favorite videos so far! Installed some apps on my phone and tablet already. We need a location close to the Lazy Days dealership in Denver. We wanted to stay at the FAMCAMP at Buckley but they only had one night available. Went to Campendium and found Cherry Creek State Park not far way! Read the reviews and even picked out a sight from a couple of subscriber photos. All this just a couple of days after seeing your video! Thanks so much for your informative series. We are also going to do the CoPilot app instead of buying an expensive GPS. Love your videos, you do a great job!
I just found you guys and I am getting ready to start RVing FT this spring! I love your videos and have found a lot of great info! Keep it up! See you on the road!
@@todayissomeday I second that. Many people (UTubers) are looking at getting on the bandwagon of informing others what is out and about. Where most think you have to have hundreds of dollars in camera equipment to do this. (Myself included) So the wife and I are starting with just a cell phone and Adobe Premier. However, in a previous question, you did answer you are using multiple cameras, not what those cameras are, that i remember.
Another great vid and topic guys. I use several of those covered and made notes to check out the ones I haven't seen yet. I use a couple others for planning as well. ioverlander is pretty good for boondocking sites and mountain directory west shows details for road grades which can really matter out here in mountain country. Keep up the good work. 👍
I like google maps. My favorite thing is when I get to a place and set up, I will drop a pin on where I am. I like to be able to see at a glance where I am in relation to the area. If you haven't been some place and the local weather is talking about severe weather or possible tornados headed towards Cabs Corner headed East. I want to know where that is in relation to my location. Trust me you can get very nervous if you don't know.
It wasn't bad you all crack me up when I hear you signing the songs you know get it, get lol! Love the interview of many get various opinions or even most popular ;-) take care and safe travels LeLe fr: Cali.,
Awesome series and love all the different POVs. I would also add the MyLCI app for almost all RVs for maintenance and troubleshooting components. Another good one for boondocking is the app RVDumpsites it opens a website but great for finding places to dump.
Great Q&A series! Lots of good info for those of us who are info-gathering! More questions, more answers, I’m in! What an awesome channel-always enjoyable! 😃
Great info. Didn’t hear anyone mention Trucker Path. Both Pilot & Flying Js are plotted. Rest areas and dump stations as well as drivers’ updates on parking space for overnight.
Stalking, Stacy I can understand, Phil, not so much. As to apps I've traveled mostly on a motorcycle for the last few years but something I still find very handy are plain old ordinary road maps. They let you see a whole state at once so you can get a much better picture of what roads you may want to take. Obviously I don't have any size issues on a bike but you can plan your route and then use other methods to see if you have any size issues. The thing I don't really like about apps is they tend to have a real heavy bias toward interstates and you can't see road numbers unless you get really close in and then you lose the big picture. Just what I do. Your mileage and methods will vary.
Thank you for all the great app suggestions. I just downloaded AllTrails. Can't wait to start cycling! We are trying to figure out how the same people appear in all your videos. Are you all camping together?
We were able to camp together off and on since October with some of our friends. If you are wondering specifically about Q&A series I actually asked all of the questions at once and separated them into one question per video. Safe Travels!!
I’m new to your channel and I am enjoying it a great deal! Good stuff. While my wife and I are not full timing yet, the research to prepare is fun. Thanks for the app interviews, I downloaded a couple new to me today. As far as the interview type approach, it is fun. Future questions? Hmm, what kind of campgrounds do you prefer? If (when) a camper tire blows do you change it or use a service, if a service which one? What do you do for camper security? Biggest water saving tip for boondocking? What is a typical non travel day consist of? I have more, but will stop there!
This has been a great series. It is educational to hear the different experiences of RVers with varying amounts of time traveling. Google maps is the only app I have used mostly because I am still new and learning. They have added a new feature. All through south Georgia it alerted me that there were speed traps ahead! Loved the Biz Markie reference at the end!
Now I’ve got Biz Markie stuck in my head...”and you say he’s just a friend.” You guys are too funny - loving the series!!! We use the military apps along with Allstays and Google maps. Granted there are redundancies but you can’t be too proactive in planning movement and routes. In the end the more information you can gather, the better the trip and stay will be!
Keep the questions going and change up on the interviewers, would be my suggestion. And add Luffa in every video. Like Marvel comics is in every episode of the "Big Bang Theory." It'll become your trademark/mascot... lol The wife and I don't watch all your videos but we do watch many. And the one pleasant part is that you two do not put a lot of complaining (if any) in your videos, thank you.
@@todayissomeday My bad... Lola... lol apologies ideas for Lola appearance, a picture, on a T-shirt (even if it is small on a sleeve), used as a mic from one of the interviewees, it hanging different spots on the wall, between different clocks.... you got the idea.

First of all, I'm in love with your channel!! You guys are sooooo funny!! LOVE the bloopers, as I've stated before. Secondly, I enjoy the interview videos you do. It's interesting to see how others travel. I have several families we follow but have not seen them in your videos. You mentioned finding new families to interview. I could give you a list of names if you want. This video couldn't have come at a more appropriate time for us as Good Sam is shutting down their Trip Planner next week. :o( That is the only tool I have used so far. In fact, I am in the middle of planning our first major trip in 2020 to kick off our retirement. It will be six weeks traveling from Michigan to Utah to Albuquerque, NM (Balloon Fiesta in October) and back home. Since GS Trip Planner is going away, all the planning I've done so far will be lost. They do not have a date when (or even if) they will offer a "new and improved" version. I know I have a while before the trip but, like you, Stacy, I am an planner. It's never too early to start planning!! RV Trip Wizard appears to be exactly what I want so that one might be our first paid app. Safe travels & happy camping!! Tony & Monica's Plan B, Michigan :o)
I am so glad it was helpful. I heard about Good Sam shutting down their planner. Its a shame! RV Trip Wizard was worth every penny. I love it and use it like crazy! As far as the people for the next series it will really depend on who is in the same area as we are. They don't have to be on YT or social media at all.
Thank you Phil and Stacy!!!! This series is great. We knew a lot of the apps, but we learned some new ones. Paul especially likes the Windy app, Phil! 😉😊
Series questions: questions to ask RV sales person, what damage to look for in a used RV, No perfect RV, but are all brands equal, is camping world really a nightmare ( or just for service), can you RV FT if you aren’t a handyman; you all look so fit what if we aren’t? Just some ideas. LOVE YOUR SHOW
Thanks for the suggestions! I have to answer one of these now. Do Not trust any salesman with these types of questions. Not all are bad but many just dont know. They are salesman and not necessarily RVers or experienced RVers. I recommend you hire an inspector from the National RV Inspectors Association. Inspect the RV like you would a home, new or used! Our inspector AL was amazing! We have a video on this as well: ruclips.net/video/3NNLFRcc7W0/видео.html

I know this has happened to most RVer’s , you find a new exciting camp site and feel you have gotten a deal only to be kept a wake by the surprise rail yard next to the RV site. Curious if anyone know of such a thing. Keep up the great channel. Mark and Lori
Oh man I wish I did! More People should at least put that in the reviews. Our last 3 campgrounds have had serious train noise all night long! This girl needs some quality sleep!
I did try to get a few singles but they all declined my offer. Jose is the only single RVer who was willing to be interviewed. My goal was to interview many different people, from different backgrounds who RV many different ways. That will also be my goal for the next series. Hopefully, more will be willing to be on camera!
I like Karin’s idea. It doesn’t have to be singles being interviewed, but insight as to what you would have to do differently without any help or co-pilot / navigator. I will be venturing out alone by year’s end and curious on what I will be encountering. Great channel and series - you guys are awesome!
I really do enjoy the interviews. One way to improve them would be to list in the text, where appropriate, items mentioned. No real need to put links, just the things, apps, etc. mentioned.

My goal was to interview many different people, from different backgrounds who RV many different ways. That will also be my goal for the next series. Hopefully, more will be willing to be on camera!
I like Karin’s idea. It doesn’t have to be singles being interviewed,
but insight as to what you would have to do differently
without any help or co-pilot / navigator.
I will be venturing out alone by year’s end and curious on what I will be encountering.
Great channel and series - you guys are awesome!
@@artking964 I am on it!!!
Good ideas. Thanks!
Have you done an update on this topic?
I enjoy these videos
I really do enjoy the interviews. One way to improve them would be to list in the text, where appropriate, items mentioned. No real need to put links, just the things, apps, etc. mentioned.
Done! Thanks for your input. Hopefully I got them all.
