I’ve been playing classic GTA 3 on my computer; the transition between the parts of the city goes by so fast, the loading screen indicating that you’ve changed environments is there for barely half a second…if you blink during, you’ll likely to miss it entirely now. VERY far cry from early ‘00s, that’s for sure
having recently played gta 4 many many many times, the best detail in this whole video is probably the logos zooming in at the start, a truly near-identical zooming-in recreation

Looking at this, I once again got struck with a surreal realisation that (most of) these models and environments are something Valve officially created for an official Half-Life game after more than ten years since the last one. And it's even more surreal to see familiar designs in a new form.
It's being played from a HDD. I can confirm from experience since my current PC only has a (mostly full) internal 1Tb hard drive and when I played through the game, the loading times between levels were stupidly long (at least 1 minute).

That should be a plot for a half life spin off game perhaps it can be open world to where each choice you make not only affects the world and people around you changing difficulty and gameplay but also deciding you’re fate
@@dotnask0001 no I know it just gave me an inspiration for a open word half-life perhaps is could base it self on the criminal underworld and the rebellion you do runs for top people in the resistance like run guns and get either credits or gear or supplies or resources

yes, this is the best version i have ever seen of someone recreating the gta iv loading startup like the attention to detail and everything holy this is just perfect, not only that the hl alyx poses and everything fits perfectly love it
GTA IV has to be one of the best games of all time. It’s single-player campaign is nearly unmatched in the GTA franchise, and it has some of the best characters and story. I especially love how advanced the physics are in it, with realistic driving physics and NPC reactions. It even received expansions with two more single-player campaigns that had their own unique characters and story, complete with lots of moments where all of these three stories crossed through each other at some points. This is some really good stuff right here, makes me want to replay GTA IV again... and I might just do it then.

My favorite detail was the selection sound effects towards the end, really feels like the pop ups when you start the game
