I remember when I was younger I would hear this song playing from my big sister’s room. I loved hearing it so much man. I spent the next few years trying to find the band behind the song and I finally found them a few months ago :) My big sister moved out already, so now as a 15 year old I play them for my little sister lol

A lot of people are wondering about the new Kings of Convenience album. What has happened is this: the songs were written and even performed live but when we tried to record it during 2016/2017 for a mixture of reasons the results just weren’t good enough. And by that time I (erlend) didn’t have anymore energy to pour into it. I needed distance to be able to be objective about it again. So 2018 was a charging battery year, and now we are planning to try again. But you won’t hear anything more about it ( or from us) until it’s actually done. No false promises. Dreams burn but in ashes are gold.

Yo this band jamms so hard man... This is the way music is suppose to make you feel you know... It makes you feel like the world is a beautiful place and makes you love life. I love acoustic music, it seems to be much more connected with the natural flow of nature and more in tune with our inner self.

The lyrics and video are full of ironies. Two lifelong friends whose lives rarely intersect, but that doesn't diminish their friendship. Hitchhikers each on a journey: Far, Work, Mexico, Ocean? Will any of them get their wish? Does it matter? Maybe the friends and adventures they find along the way are better than the wished-for destination. The music itself is pure joy, life at its best.

I used to go hitch hiking every summer in my teens. This takes me back. A sweet nostalgia. The hot tarmac, the sun, the people picking us up. The Southern coast of Spain. The woods in Slovakia.. San pedro. El vino tinto. Just beautiful

They're in the process of recording their 4th album now! I was there at the "unrecorded record" sessions, the music for the new album is just perfect. Really magical, can't wait to hear it again :)

Many years ago, that Geico commercial featured Royksopp's Remind Me, and in it was a voice I fell in love with. Then I fell into the rabbit hole of Kings of Convenience, Whitest Boy Alive, and Erlend Oye as solo. I'm glad I did.

I discovered KoC through a Rhapsody recommendation, years ago when I had subscribed to that service. My son discovered Royksopp for us, through that Geico ad. We connected everything after those individual discoveries.

I'm crying. Age 4 - 6. The song my mother turned on every day on her old macbook to make me sleep. I loved this song so much. So many pictures now in my head and I can't stop crying. It's beautiful. My childhood was beautiful. I'm so thankful for what I had even my mother and I did not have it easy, but I know I had a past full of love and secureness. God I'd do anything to live the past again😢

I listened to this band's album Declaration of Dependence in the airplane's tracklist and immediately fell in love with this song. It generates so many different feelings/scenarios for all of us (from reading the comments). That's why they are brilliant.
