Because Kove is about hype and propaganda. The Kove fan boys tell us the 450 is a game changer and the greatest motorcycle ever made. And finishing in 49th place at Dakar is as good as #1.

I seen wild different numbers ranging from 175 to 195kg so I guess we'll have to wait for world release and weight it on scale as usual can't trust marketing.
Still I'm pretty sure it'll be the lightest, high performance twin adv bike on the market. And I'm excited AF and ready to replace my AT
@@Angry-LynxMy thoughts also. I will be looking for low centre of gravity, lower seat, or reach to the ground, and obviously price. But I will certainly be considering this bike, as it seems to kill the competition in the middle weight/cc adventure bike sector.
@@davidmallia628 checkout Aprilia Tuareg too its currently the best thing we have for lighter twin cylinder adventure. The price is right too, imo way better value than 790R

It certainly has the looks and if the real weight is even close to the advertised, that would be impressive. Right now it's just hype. And Kove is the king of hype. I didn't see a brand name on any component. I'm sure the coolaid drinkers will all say its the greatest ever.

Manufacturers don't produce any parts anyway, they only design frame, general idea and design. The rest are all bought components, probably same stuff as on honda etc.
No reason really why it'd be shit.
Build quality might be lacking and some quality control issues at the beginning but who cares just check everything and tight it and g2g.

The stated claims for this bike have certainly generated a lot of interest in this popular segment, but there appears to be an element of 'smoke and mirrors' with this early promotion. A touch of 'too good to be true'? This video is something of a 'mash up' of different models; high front mudguard, low 'guard, single disc, twin disc, pillion footrests, no pillion footrests, etc. Most on this video appear to have tubeless rims, but other tests have mentioned tubes. But a bike with this engine capacity, size and low weight would certainly be of interest to many of us, but everything I've seen appears pre-production, and not always verified with regards to actual weight.
It appears to have an aluminium rear sub-frame for example, which may not be suitable for a passenger or gear, so a bit more information to come yet. All these videos appear to be gauging public response to a pre-production bike, as against a serious roll-out of a new model. I will keep riding, enjoying and lightening my 750 Transalp, and see where this story goes as it becomes available in more markets, but the Kove 800X appears to have some features of a fairy tale at this stage. But, as I've noted elsewhere, it may serve to encourage the larger established manufacturers to make lighter models, and that can't be bad.
