A guitar is just a bundle of wood and strings without the man... The man is just a bundle of skin and bones without the heart. The heart in this young man is translated directly to music... Fellows this is what a heart sounds like. Amazing.
I think we already have a musician from the new millennium, any single song on your fingers has become masterpieces. The strings of your guitar pulsate in time with your heart. And what a wonderful heart. He would spend hours watching his concerts.
I'm a huge Earl Klugh fan and I actually prefer this version because of the absence of vocals . . . makes you appreciate the instrument playing brilliance even more . . . this guy is simply outstanding!
Have you seen the live concert of Earl Klugh where he played that music but recorder-flute was used instead of the vocal part? It is actually the best version
Kent belongs to the elite when it comes to guitar playing. All the small details of every song he played really amazes me, so precise. Its like you are listening to the original song. Kent deserves not only a million subscribers but hundreds of millions strong subscribers. One of the most underrated guitarist in the planet. Subscribe now coz this guy is no doubt the best maker of guitar cover in the world.
Underrated for sure. In order to be commercially successful, showmanship has to be in the mix. Someone like Tommy Emmanuel. Regardless I stay up till wee hours listening to Kent’s covers and marvel at his skills.
Having heard Earl Klugh perform this song in concert several times & owning a bunch of his albums, this young man really captures Earl's essence as a musician. I'm impressed.
Sadly, only actual musicians can truly understand how good Kent is. The guy does not aim to impress if his arrangements are any indication. I'm afraid to say this guy will never get the massive appreciation he truly deserves. Yes, he has a lot of followers now, but if the number of followers should properly reflect one's talent, skill, and heart, this guy should have millions of followers.
I’m 53 years old and I’ve been listening to Earl Klugh since the beginning. I must’ve heard this song 1000 times! However this is the best version I’ve ever heard. I’ll be listening to this at least 1000 times!
I have been in the last 40 years a big jazz fan, hearing all the great jazz players, since the mid 70´s, but someone like you, never in my life, tv or radio, let me tell you K.N., today 16 is my birthday, and founding you in youtube, have been my birthday present.
I am overwhelmed by the level of this talent and skill This is not about showing off, but all about beauty. I know no one in this genre. Never heard one single player sound like a combo.
Who are the 34 people who gave a thumbs down? This young man is incredible. I should have been asleep an hour ago, but I can’t stop watching his videos.
Earl Klugh is one of my all time favourite guitarists, but this version is just brilliant, There are not many covers that are much better than the original, this is one.
We in the guitar family all have those who inspire us to play, duplicate a sound riff or solo. That is until now. In a singular sense chord structure. Tone. Touch. Voicing. But to see and hear all of the above in a 17 year old. I can play most anything except u. I may show my butt on stage, buy in my quite study I will pull my chair up and listen learn and practice. You are the new level of perfection.
This amazing young man, Mr. Kent Nishimura, and others like Mike Dawes, Alexandr Misko, Gabriel Quevedo, Jon Gomm...they all have transcended "guitar playing". THESE artists, all of them, deserve Emmys, record deals, accolades, praise, and monetary reward for mastering their craft. For me, they are revitalizing hope for humanity. Just effing awesome, one and all. Thank you for YOU, Mr. Nishimura!
SIMPLY STUNNING and so beautifully produced and played..... Kent YOU are a Genius and such a wonderful Talent, a real pleasure for both the eyes and ears, these videos. Thank You for sharing your gift!!
Love this young man's musicianship. I wouldn't say better than the original, just a different version. After all this song is almost 30 years old! Love to hear this young man doing some of his original compositions.
I think we already have a musician from the new millennium, any single song on your fingers has become masterpieces. The strings of your guitar pulsate in time with your heart. And what a wonderful heart. He would spend hours watching his concerts.
@@azzajohnson2123 wow, only 16 years old? my word, he's going to go very far with this peculiar skill...I love Earl Klugh's beautiful guitar music and people who appreciate and even play it like Kent are my friends...this is very beautiful indeed ;)
Aloha from Hawaii, Nishimura-san! Man, in Hawaii we say chicken-skin. You are creative genius to translate Earl Klugh piece to an acoustic steel 6-string guitar is phenomenal. Bradduh, you have a special talent at your age. So beautiful, I can feel it coming from heart, which translate into an awesome guitar who has a passion. Keep on going, hopefully we see you one day in Hawaii, performing your favorite pieces.
Kent, Excellent Job on this beautiful Song. In my honest opinion, Earl Klugh is the most underrated guitarist of the last 45 years. Guitarist like yourself prove Earl’s influence on the playing of this instrument. I have subscribed.
Please cover the Earl Klugh song 'Doc'...it's one of the happiest songs I've ever heard. Great job on this track, you've got the nylon string feel down!
I've grown tired of trying to tell you how amazing you are, but here's goes........Truly Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! God bless you Kent!!! And much respect to the camera man/woman!
This is the first video I watched from Kent. I’m a big fan of Earl Klugh and after hearing this great arrangement, I’m now a big fan of Kent Nishimura.
Somebody call Jimmy Kimmel or James Cordin to get Kent on TV. I've never heard of him but HE IS THE REAL DEAL...Ienjoy how he taps the body of the instrument too.
I've never seen a guitarist playing so damn clear like you do. A guitar virtouso no doubt about it, and aside from that you surpassed all the great guitarist out there. Playing acoustic that clear is so hard. I've playing guitar for almost 2 decades but i can't play the way you do. Congratulations! You are the best indeed!
Hallo Kent, you're creating covers with a love and a care for details that are truly unattainable, world-class covers! I'm really amazed at how rich they are. And you can play with a great, exceptional feeling! Great Grea Great!! Luca, from Rome
I so want this Jeffery Yong guitar. It is the sweetest and best sounding acoustic I’ve ever heard. And then Kent makes it sing like no one else. I emailed Jeffery Yong and was going to go to Indonesia to build one last April and then COVID hit.... damn
Thank you Kent! Beyond the technical excellence, it is unbelievable that you are so young and able to already incorporate the subtle nuances that usually take years of playing and practice in guitar playing. Well done! Keep having fun!
Wow, I am in tears, "Living inside your love" is one of Klugh's great compositions. I'd love to listen this musician playing some of José Feliciano's songs, like "Chico and The Man" among others, even a collaboration recording.
Kent, once again thank you for another amazing rendition of a classic song. Your playing skills must have come easy to you. In other words, tens of thousands of hours of not just playing, but playing while critically improving upon yourself. Kudos, a great inspiration to me and exceptionally enjoyable in many ways. Keep on posting please!
I grew up with Earl Klugh so it’s nice to have his music resurface in your capable hands. It would be nice to have you do this on a nylon string although some of the stretches are probably to far to make; maybe.
