Found you at episode 158, 1 minute in realised I had to go back to the beginning and have now caught up :-) just wanted to say what a great channel. Looking forward to new episodes and adventures 👍
So I've watched some of your newer videos, and some of your older videos. I'd say your channel is the closest to carrying the "old school" S/V Delos vibes I've come across. Happy to have subscribed and looking forward to seeing more of your adventures until I get out there myself.
First of all, now we know who the HEAD banana is 😂😂😂love your detailed charts… looks like a Pancake House placemat!😂😂😂go Amy and Rory and Teulu Tardis!!! Beautiful Video and Congratulations on you passage!!!
Hope you had a Merry Christmas, dinner looked grand, oh I like those countertops too, and the decorations were an awesome touch, adding to the Christmas charm. Fair winds and great friends
Yes episode 166!! Howdy gang just found your channel over the weekend and couldn’t wait for the next episode. Totally stoked to follow along on your epic adventure!
Christmas on Teulu comes 8 weeks after everyone else celebrates it. ;-) At least you managed to celebrate it on Dry Land. You clearly love your Roast Potatoes. They looked scrumptious. Another great episode. You're getting quite good at this. Cape Verde - last place you'd expect to find someone from Tavistock; a place I know well, from when I lived in Plymouth. Looking forward to next week and your Crossing of the Atlantic. Fair winds and following seas.
Fantastic guys, and some beautiful roasties you have done there. We spent Christmas Day in hospital in Orlando, with my wife Sally fainting from food poisoning and ripping her scalp back. Loving following you and wish I was there. Xxxx
Another great video guys and that Xmas dinner looked amazing, no mean feat on a boat cooker. I’ve followed Capt Coconut since before his GGR and he is always upbeat and having a laugh. I believe he was a hydrographer and I doubt there is much he doesn’t know about celestial navigation. He has an amazing chronometer. Sad you lost one crew member but looking forward to seeing the next episode. Andy UK
IM so excited to see your new episodes! Finally a channel I can go on the journey with! I cant wait till the day I get to sail and adventure like you 2. I hope to see you guys out there SV Someday soon!
Merry Christmas Teulu. Watched your video at 02.37 on ! March 2023, Happy New Year to you both. I look forward to seeing more of your video's over the coming year. Best wishes.
might I suggest, using insulation, or grip tape (for a cricket bat) around the end of the chord on your helm, to prevent the fray? it caught my eye at 5:23, and it's driving me nuts
Just watched all vids since you brought the boat, awesome to see how you two have adapted to this lifestyle. cant wait to see all the adventures to come.
A brilliant idea for you guys for a future trip. Why not attend the next America's Cup race in 2024? It's going to be in your neck of the woods (kind of), in Barcelona! I'm sure you have watched some of the AC75 Class racing action on T.V but imagine watching the racing live from your boat! That would be phenomenal. Perhaps you might even get the opportunity to hop on board one of the boats to take a look. Either way, it would make for an amazing video. Also, eventually, once you have more sailing confidence, it'd be fantastic to see you tackle some slightly stronger wind with full sails up, perhaps on a broad reach.
Great video! Corwall taking over the world clearly :-)! Actually I remember looking at the gravestones on the great ocean road in Australia -lots from Cornwall and Somerset - makes sense because of where the ships would stop before heading out but it's still quite surprising!
@Teulu Tribe In my next whole school assembly, I am going to discuss your resilience in reaching your dream. It is great that you both have had the determination to learn to sail and dare to dream.
Another good one guys. Seems like on the last couple of episodes (including this one), you are having problems with camera focus now and again. I'm sure you will figure it out. 🙂 See you next time.✨ 🌊 💨 ⛵️ 🏝 👙 🌞 ✨
This is a great channel. Especially nice to see some younger sailors with some common sense. Please don't go the way of some other channels when they reach the Caribbean!!
If you run your engine more often you might find that the fuel supply lines are less prone to air blockages. Try running it to full temperature daily for a couple of days. If starting without issue the run it every other day and then every third day etc. once you figure out how long the fuel system takes to become air bound you will be able to avoid the issue most of the time. Good luck!
I’m fairly sure the issue came from me changing a fuel filter, I did everything I had done last time but somehow air must have still got into the pistons. Thanks for the advice, if the issue continues I’ll give that a go! 😁
I had no idea just how far ahead with filming you must be as it’s only Christmas anyway one of my favourite episodes really loved it Zach is a whizz in the small galley great job with Christmas there buddy , mind you I know how good he is in small tiny spaces so not surprised 😂 your crewman seems a nice chap as well 😊
Sushi every day..... I don't suppose you can imagine how many people would just kill to be in your shoes on days like that? Hell of a good, strong-looking boat you have there. Have you any new ideas about how to customize it a little? 36k subs, interesting. I forgot what it was when I started following this, but it seems like you get a little better every week. :D
So much sushi! We are incredibly lucky to be doing what we are doing 😊 She’s definitely a solid boat, I’ve got some more additions planned for the end of the season 😊 Thanks John!
Tight leech for less rolling. Make sure the Leech is tighter than the foot. It won't help much, but it will help. Also...headsail only rigs are always more rolly. Twin running headsails, beloved by many are not liked even slightly by me.
You probably will not read this but on the off chance you do please DO NOT USE YOUR JACKLINES. Jacklines are meant to keep you ON the boat, not ATTACHED to the boat. If you fall over board with your harness attached to the jacklines you will drown! Try it. Being dragged by a boat you can not get back on will not work out well. I enjoy the videos and want them to continue so please do some research on jacklines, they should be down the middle of the boat with the harnesses being of a length that will not allow you to fall off the boat. Sorry for the downer of a comment but this really is a life or death thing.
Hi David. We have tested out jacklines to ensure that if we did fall overboard we wouldn’t end up in the water. They hold us about a meter from the water, even if the boat is heeling. Thanks for the heads up 😊
4 or 3 crew member?. Last video it was 4. This seems to be edited out and no mention....Time to unsubscribe as well it's not an honest story that is being told.
Got my Aussies, my Canadians, and now my Brits. Love these episodes!
Thanks 🙏
Thanks 🙏
That picture at the beginning of the video is one of the best sailing pictures
I was in a Charity shop in Sketty the other week and there was a handmade sign with ‘Teulu’ on it!
We’ll have to get it, what shop was it in?
@@TeuluTribe The Marie Curie I think. Might not be there now. I’m going that way today, I’ll check and pick it up if it’s there. 👍🏻
@@TeuluTribe It’s been sold guys. 😔

Well done
Wow Sailor 👍
😄
So skipping around I stumble across changes in circumstances. We have crew. We are headed for Cape Verde, and we caught a fish. Good stuff. Thanks ❤
It’s all part of the adventure! ☺️
Yes you’re bleady doing it, congratulations on your crossing, the first of many I think 👍😎👍
We are already looking forward to our next one 😊

Roast potatoes are the best bit! It’s such a small world, we are always bumping into people from Devon and Cornwall. Thanks Russ 😊
Of the year
Just started watching your channel. I'll be back to watch your adventures. I must say some fantastic editing of your journey!!!
Awesome start…. Be safe
We will 😊
Awesome! Merry Christmas to all.
Happy late Xmas 🎅

It was definitely a challenge. He’s such an upbeat guy. I’m fairly sure he was a hydrographer based out of Plymouth too. Cheers Andy 😊
The first crossing is always a mix of apprehension and an adrenaline rush ending in pride
I have crossed the Atlantic 11 times, the Pacific 4 times. I still get apprehensive before I set out, maybe even more than I did in my 20's...
We definitely felt that leaving Cape Verde!

Great video guys. Oh just saw Cpt Mark sailing away on Coconut :).
We were lucky enough to spend sometime with him while in Cape Verde, such an interesting guy 😊

Weird but a nice change 😊

That’s a really good idea Shaun, if we are back in Europe then we’ll have to have a look 😊
The teulu tribe was alive and well in Surrey, Canada as Zach’s folks joined us for an international lunch at Horizon Church. We are everywhere!
Sounds like they had a lovely time in Canada!
♥️♥️🥰🥰

Anywhere in the world you find hard rock mining ...you'll find Cornish miners..
Kudos to you two, you have sailed more miles in your short years, than I have in 55 years
All the best. Maybe you'll make it to Bermuda. You have both come so far!
Maybe one day 😊 We can’t believe it’s only been a year!

So, what was the sail plan? get as far south as Cape Verde and cross from there because of the trades rather than crossing from Portugal
Spot on Jack 😁
Do those fish fly onto your vessel ?
Yeah they did 😅
So the market was in Cape Verdi ?
Yeah it was 😊

How far behind is the video compared to real time?
About 2 months at this time.

Didn't realize your post were 3 month behind...
They are usually just one month but we couldn’t post when in the Atlantic 😜
what map is that??
