Thank you! I just bought a '95 Silverado with almost 250k miles on it, and your video gave me the confidence to just knock this out myself. The brake lights work now!
Backside of the fuse box in the engine compartment are 2 posts. Driver side post has a lead that comes off it for the trailer. 6” along the lead is an inline fuse, you can access the fuse by unscrew’n it.
@@tycoontony21 Yo boss, could you do a video for the trailer lighting fuse location? I’m not finding a fuse on mine (think I’m in the wrong spot)… Happy Holidays!
@@joetroutt7425 if I remember right, it is Truck Body Comp. I have seen some lights be wired to these. There may be a couple fuses labeled the same, check them all.
@@tycoontony21 Come to find out the brake switch wasn't aligned in the groove all the way when I put in the new switch. So it came off track when I pushed on the brake allowing the whole switch to move instead of the switch arm attached to the brake arm. I pushed it up on track and my break lights started working again when I pushed on the brake. I still have several electrical issues I need to work out. But I'm one step closer to passing the inspection.
So the issue that I am having is that the lights come on for a split second and then go off. I have hazard lights, turn signal and running lights. Just the brake that I do not have. Is that the issue you had before you replaced the switch under the dash? Thank you... I have an originial 95 tahoe.
@@tycoontony21 was still trying to find the color code. I don't know if i can see the back of the fuse box from under the dash. I already tested the realy it checked out good wasent sure if the relay should be getting power before the fuse inside.
