    The industry needs sleds like this that are more accessible, not everyone has $20,000 or wants 165 + hp.
    A couple of suggestions for 2022 tho...
    1. That bumper should really be standard equipment, especially on this utility oriented model.
    2. The hand and thumb warmers really need to have high/low/off settings rather than just on/off. It might not seem like a big deal but having your hands either too hot or too cold in most conditions will get annoying really fast.
    Address these two points and it will be just about perfect.

    Yamaha should have never ended the Bravo. It's only flaw was the weak steel frame(fire-level rust, and very bendy). They should come out with a new aluminum chassis version, with a 4-Cycle Dirt Bike Engine(Light Weight). It was their best sled since the GPX 433G. I still have my Bravo.

    The PRICE needs to come down a LOT! If Yamaha wants the Transporter LT to be a legend like the Bravo LT, make it affordable please, for everyone; no matter what country one lives in. Why not price your snowmobiles and ATVs with 350 to 450 cc more affordable? This would allow more new buyers to get into the sport. If you want a 500+ cc motor, charge more! Also, bring back the fan cooled engines. Those motors built a few great machines over the years.

      Thanks for highlighting my comment! Also, if the Transporter LT topped out at 50 MPH, perfect. I'm not looking to be the first one across the lake. I'm looking for a low budget utility snowmobile that's dependable and quiet!!

    Wow nice, thought it was a 4 stroker all along. A one banger 4 stroker with a kick start makes a lot of sense to me.

    8 grand too much but 6299.00 fits perfectly for the price

    From my experiences, the closest match to a late model alternative to a Bravo is a Skidoo Tundra. It's 600 ACE engine sips gas, is super quiet, it's only downside is it's weight. I considered a Yamaha (even a VK540) before buying mine (I also own Yamaha dirt bikes) but the Tundra was superior in many ways.

    • @scottfurlong5475
      @scottfurlong5475 3 года назад +2

      You can buy a 2022 tundra LT 154" 600 efi for less than these things. For not much more you can get a 600ace in your tundra. Yamaha and arctic cat are aiming to separate fools from their money. These are way over priced for what you get. I like the concept and execution but they should be way less expensive. $2000 less

      the tundras would leave this thing in the dust sucks they stopped putting the 550f in the tundras but that’s the way it is I guess

    Should have had a 12 yr old seat on it. To shown the size of it. What sled to get after a snoscoot. Would be nice to get a 4 stoke option. 500 cc out of the phazer

    We have two of these sleds and I have a few comments. First I agree with the other individual that commented on the thumb and handle bar warmers about having settings. They get so warm you do not want to touch them without a glove. My other comment is that the switches for the handle bar and thumb heaters should be on the handle bars because they are to hard to find when riding at night. Lastly I agree that this machine lacks accessories and the dealer lacked parts and knowledge of accessories. If these items are addressed you have a very fun affordable sled for a family entering the sport.

    This sled would be rad with a pz480 fan cooled twin motor. Venture/phazer rebirth.

    It doesn't matter anymore, Yammie sleds are done.
    At the same time there is a huge hole in snowmobiles. A lot of people want a single cylinder ultra light weight utility sled that doesn't cost $15+ like a Bravo or old Tundra.
    I sold my old Tundra and bought a Voyageur. I do like it but wish it was just a single banger.

    The bravo was built by Yamaha and as a result was reliable and very well built. This new arctic cat that Yamaha claims as their own will not live up to this standard.

    • @BigRiverLabrador
      @BigRiverLabrador 3 года назад

      Exactly! I did watch this video because I wanted to see him talking about the Bravo as I grew up on them and have a couple for my kids now. But all I could think was shouldn’t he be comparing to a 70’s or 80’s lynx? Or whatever Arctic Cats small single cylinder sled of that era was 🙄 not a Bravo which is about as Yamaha as anyone can get. Not this re-badged Arctic Cat Blast

    • @BigRiverLabrador
      @BigRiverLabrador 3 года назад

      @TerraTrax yes the Lynx is from the 80’s. In fact it’s from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s an Arctic Cat 250/340 model. Cougars and El Tigre’s were also 250’s in those times. The Lynx you are referring to was criticized for its Arctic Cat name as soon as it was revealed a few years ago.

    • @BigRiverLabrador
      @BigRiverLabrador 3 года назад

      @TerraTrax For my point I was meaning the Jag era. The small single cylinder engines that would have been around the same time as the first Bravo’s. Only point I was making is if they want to talk like this Transporter was inspired by simpler designs of the 80’s. Shouldn’t it be Arctic Cat showcasing their “Blast” model and convincing us that they went back to characteristics of their earlier sleds when designing this model? Yamaha has their name slapped on it and built the powerplant but the Chassis designers over at Arctic Cat didn’t stand back and look at the Bravo for inspiration is all I am saying. The fact that Yamaha even claims any of these designs at all troubles me. They are clearly re-names re-coloured bodies of another manufacturer to which they are in business with to do so.
      I highly doubt Arctic Cat puts out videos explaining how they’ve kept homage to their classic line of sleds when showcasing the Bear Cat (VK540) 😂

    Jaret, could you show us the two-up seat option on this snowmobile? Also, can one get stiffer rear springs if needed? Any plans to drop a small 4 stroke (Venture lite motor) in the sled?Thanks Jason

    Yamaha. Could make a fortune. Do what dodge did. With the muscle cars. Bring back the enticer and ss 440. The 300. For crying out load. Make a line of family sleds.

    • @guyincognito1431
      @guyincognito1431 5 месяцев назад

      Lifetime average of 19. Most recent winter 20.2. Its really bad the first 500miles as all 2 strokes seeem to be and then really improves till about 1000 miles. Record so far is 205 miles on one tank (but I'll never try that again)

    At $11,300 Canadian, It's just not competitively priced. Neither is the Arctic Cat versions of this sled. You can buy both the 2022 Renegade backcountry sport 146" with c-motion and the tundra LT 154" SC-5U for hundreds less and get way more capability and tech. I like them a lot but they should be thousands less than the current MSRP. Price them starting at around $8000 and we'll be talking but at $11,300, no thank you!

  • @d.sarg.470

    Checked Yamaha’s website.... no 2up option and almost no accessories. Have you seen the accessories ski doo offers? Is there a radiator option? Nope. Could be a great contender for the tundra but falling short on options. Looks like most people will stick with the tundra In my opinion. This is coming from a Yamaha guy.

    • @d.sarg.470
      @d.sarg.470 3 года назад

      Absolutely! Need a 2up with quick release. Not like the Transporter 800 2up. That seat is bolted on and difficult to remove. The had a beautiful system with the viper 146. Sled had a quick disconnect seat. Personally I think they should have invested more into advertising that sled.
