o soave fanciulla is one of my fav love duets, it literally SOUNDS like falling in love, i can't even explain it but it's so good OH AND EDIT THIS IS SO MUCH CUTER BC ROBERTO AND ANGELA LITERALLY GOT MARRIED DURING A PERFORMANCE OF BOHEME TRUE STORY
There is a lot of controversy about this duet and the debate is on how the tenor sings the ending. Many opera lovers prefer the tenor sing the harmony that Puccini wrote. I only in recent years learned Puccini wrote that harmony. To my surprise Alagna chooses to sing the ending the other way.
I agree with everyone else's comments: this is a beautiful duet sung beautifully by two great vocalists. However: Roberto -- don't go up to high C at the end! Sing what Puccini wrote! This is not bel canto. Puccini knew what he was doing!
I think this is what I heard that sounded "off" in his voice. His sympathetic vibrations around his central tone sound off. Either he ends up dragging the pitch slightly flat or he even takes it slightly sharp at times. This is a real problem.
Wonderful, both of them. ♥️
Frumosilor, sunteti superbi, aveti voci de ingeri, va pretuiesc si va iubesc mult. ❤️
Beautiful!
Amazing Duett ! Bravissima for Angela G. and R.Alagna ! - Beautiful ! Merci ! 🙏💙🎼💙❤️🎼❤️👏👏👏💞

MUITO LINDO🌹🎻Bravo! 👍 !!! Rafael Teitelbaum👏🏻
Lol he came in 2 bars early during the ending and Gheorghiu saved it.
Yes that was somewhat improvised.
I was wondering what happened.
GRAZIE PER CONTANTA BELLEZZA DI COURE !
Angela’s high C is absolutely beautiful 💝
Voci divine!❤️
❤❤
Είστε υπέροχοι και οι δύο! 🥰
БРАВО!!!
Roberto, acaso se sentía ansioso? Se adelantó y cometió 2 equivocaciones jeje, eso nos hace humanos cierto?..
Roberto Alagna se confundiu no final e resolveu não pronunciar a palavra direito e prolongar o agudo.
♥️
LOVE! 🙏♥️🌹🌹🌹🌷🌷🌷 NAMASTE! 🙏😘🌹🌹🌹🌷🌷🌹💥

🌹❤🌹❤Einfach Schön
grande Roberto Alagna e pure Angela Gheorghiu Fantastici!!1
The shock for me is Alagna did NOT sing the ending in the harmony Puccini wrote but instead chose to sing the ending the other way.

Alagna is not an equal partner. She is much, much better.
Purtroppo Alagna ha problemi di intonazione
