I wouldn’t dare to show my hair strands scattered around the floor 😂
It doesn’t get dusty much where I live. I just regularly vacuum and wipe the floor and that’s about it. I do dust my collection from time to time whenever I move and rearrange stuff. But they don’t really get that dusty or dirty. I also have an air purifier to minimize the dust build up too so it’s really not a problem for me.
As a plush collector who displays stuff a hot tip is this. They make little palm sized desk vacuums that are for getting crumbs off your desk. Many of them have brush bristles in the bottom. I use one of those and brush all my plush that are displayed with them once every month :) it's way easier than even a Dyson handheld and it grabs all the dust off their fur so they stay clean feeling.

What do you do when you like stuff but it doesn't fit your aesthetic? does it go in another room? I couldn't imagine being this consistent with an aesthetic for this reason.

Not much of a problem for me since the things I personally like to buy and my aesthetic are more or less the same. But I do have some stuff (like FMA figures or Inuyasha plushies) that doesn’t quite match the aesthetic but I still have them displayed on my shelf in the same room. I did vacuum some dust and strands of hair… and pick up a mountain of clothes that were in there originally by the slowpoke sofa bec I didn’t want to show them in the video 😅 (it was too much and too personal for me)

how do you avoid dust accumulation with a lot of items everywhere (especially plushies)? i like collecting things as well and decorating my living space with them but i'm already struggling with dust appearing everywhere in a matter of days
My current place doesn’t accumulate dust that easily so it’s the least of my concerns. But I used to live in a place where the air pollution is just so bad so I know what you mean. 😣 I do have an air purifier to minimize dust buildup since I have chronic allergic rhinitis. I also dust off my collection whenever I rearrange and move stuff around.
