Junk Bargains are still Bargains!
marco we missed you bruv
Marco coming in clutch as always
@@youknowme2003 Too bloody right!
One mans trash is another mans treasure. Marco thanks for hooking up Bryan in Taiwan. Tech Yes City Man only has a fraction of time to give us a glimpse with his content of Taiwan bargains.
Thank you!
This is why I love Brian. Anyone can go and buy the latest and greatest, but our mission is used priced performance and saving older hardware
Waiting to see what works and what doesn’t. It’s fun taking a chance on older hardware and it actually working!
Dude good score on that H81M-A. I know Asus is in hot water in the US right now but seriously you drop a 3ghz Xeon in that for like $15USD, 16gb RAM, 1070 and you've got an e-sports machine that'll absolutely rock.
Well. It comes with the Tech YES Warranty. Best warranty.
It's been hot water everywhere since 10 years ago. Even taiwanese knows that their warranty is almost non-existent; just take it that you bought AS-IS when you're getting Asus
they should be the cheapest of the bunch though, they like to charge a premium on their stuff. Kind of sad to see their warranty breaking country consumer laws.
@@lesliegrace8360 didn't know how big of a risk I was taking when I bought my x370 motherboard 6 years ago.
@@lesliegrace8360 Yeah. I had a 2nd gen board that was still under warranty, I sent them photos of it and every number that was anywhere on the board and they kept responding with "We don't have any record of that product, we can't determine if that is an Asus motherboard" and I'm like, bitches, this is your board with your silkscreen and your heatsinks and your branding all over it, do you think I manufactured my own board, then broke it, in an attempt to get a new one???
Good friends are hard to come by. You got a good friend cleaning those boards.
These are Zhongxiao Fuxing good bargains!
let's go get some more fuxing bargains today.
原來在忠孝復興!
amazing how long will u guys be vibin in Taipei? The whole week?
@@JasonChen927 對, 就是fuxing good time!
Brian and Marco don't Fux around!
Suggestion, to help the nice lady at the junk PC place, maybe blur her opening the cash box.
Now everyone knows where she keeps the stash lol.
Phone number and all.
This is why I love TYC. Thanks for an amazing content and enjoy your time in Taiwan!
I live în Germany , doing a lot of PC flips to , the wake up in the morning with a good cup of coffe and be notifing Tech Yes City just uploaded a video , is the best start in the Day!
Just love your Videos ❤
5:08 You see that HDD cage in the PC case, just below the DVD Drive? Modern cases do not come with it anymore and I have a lot of 3.5 inch drives for redundancy and data protection. Those cages now sell for 20 USD on Amazon
That's crazy. Never thought I'd see the day when hard drive cages actually start having value
I don't know if it's just because you're bored or just because you're in Japan, but im loving these daily videos.
Mmmm, he's in Taiwan for this video, and says so repeatedly throughout it.
These are the yearly daily pre-Computex videos parts hunts. Honestly hyped for the Computex ones too. Love the Taiwan vibe though.
@@ThePhoenix198 Well, yeah, I know that. But he's living in Japan right now for 3 months.
This brings back so many sweet memories from my time living in Taiwan. I'm definetely going to check out store 3 on my next visit. Great content.
What a cool video, looks like it as fun visiting those scrapyards!
Dumpster Diving is real cool content!
Yesman in Taiwan. Does this mean Computex content next week 👀
Yes it is! That time of year all ready.
Awesome hunt TYC!! Thanks for the video sir!
loving the parts hunts content!
Love the dumpster diving videos they are really awesome and funny and you find good stuff as well can't beat that 🙂
Absolutely incredible deals!
BRO You always show us the right direction and Decision.
I luv these types of video
Love this time of year when you go to Taiwan we get two videos a day 😂
This time of year again all ready. Nice.
I fkn love these kind of videos! and Brian is the king of them! ❤
Nice finds, and I'm lucky I don't have to pay when I goto the local recycle here in my part of the US, I just look in the e-waste bin, and if there is something I like then I take it, and sometimes it's a winner, and sometimes it's a bust.
marco the real mvp for every computex
The customs talk is gonna be interesting
- what are you carrying?
- lots of junk
always doing the best love your channel keep up the hard work
from Rob from Rochester New York USA 🇺🇸
Kudos MarcoGPUtuber for the translation and great seeing the places you both visited!
Thank you!
Im so happy to see another computex starting and seeing your collection of used motherboards etc. So cool to recycle some sandybridge, ivybridge, haswell and skylake mobos. Shame no i7s , i5 4 core 4 thread aren't worth much but at least they are small and lite.
Great video man. I miss doing something like this. Nowadays, I usually stuck in the software stuff than the hardware stuff lol
Best tech channel on YT.
nice video man♥♥♥♥
Nice picks at the scrapyards. The microphone sounds quite good and I'm guessing it was cheap in cost.
finally something worth eating and watching after a long while .
really fun episode
Look forward to seeing you back in Aussie..
Tech Yes uploads are on 🔥
The best junk video! ❤❤
Nice work
Great what youre bying...Brian ..i,m always looking up to see youre New video,s
Bryan kickin' Tech Yes rear end as usual!
nice fluffy mic, the lady was real nice got cha' some great deals!
Damn its been a year already? This is the best time of the year for Brian's Banger Content! (BBC) And the return of Marco the Man, The Myth, The Legend...
Thank you.
How much do you think the new hard restriction on older cpu's with win 11 and the EOL of win 10 will impact selling these older haswell gaming pc's? More supply from people dumping pre 8th gen is good but maybe less demand if people are put off? Or you just install an earlier win 11 build with the workaround?
You got some really nice deals
I hope you'll do a scrapyard hunt in the land down under. It's been a while since you visited those guys and you got some pretty good deals.
Yeah I have to see what I can do, the guy I was going to scaled up quite a bit for massive bulk buyers... :(
Love a good rummage through the junk piles.
The third scrapyard seems to be more professional than the other 2 where they kept the pc parts under cover not out in the open
Love it! And in our world of "E-Waste" it's great to reuse things instead of sticking it all into the soil.
Hey, Bryan, keep us in da' loop about 'em hardware, please!!
The mike - looks ridiculous, but the sound is ok.
is there a follow up on this video? im very curious on hows going to turn out
Omg I thought RUclips loaded up an older video. Brings back memories!
lmao
Would love to see a US PC parts hunt series!
this was absolutely amazing, thank you Linus' dad!
magnifico moustache Brian !!! :D 🤣
If the PSU has bleed resistors and has rust suggesting water damage, those could be gone and the capacitors having charge in them is an unknown _(even if it is unlikely)._ The usual heads-up of _"Proceed at your own risk and only if you know what you are doing for health-and-safety"_ would be a worthy utterance. With that out of the way, taking a fat resistor with you to drain the caps _(maybe stuck to a wooden clothes-peg as in one with no metal spring)_ and having that on a good stick _(dowel for instance)_ might do the job of draining. If the GPU is toast having dwelled out there, whilst the resistors and caps likewise could have broken another culprit is high density buck convertors which are vulnerable to water damage, _(fixable sometimes usually from donor boards GPU if you have the schematic and docs in advance of replacement swapping)._ Of course the PSU tester and multimeter are possible steps _(and a proper heat camera, but additionally even for an extra glance using a webcam with the IR filter removed for a makeshift thermal-vision having first checked with the real heat camera)._ Comparing to a working model, the speed of repair and probability is largely down to known quantity parts "worth" replacing _(and plugged under riser cable PCI-e)._ So yes, it very well could be a time-waste worth bothering on some parts, like the video said. However, if somebody else gets in working and you wonder how, it could well be by means of the above fault finding evolution.
You might get a bargain from a Libreboot flashed 775 socket _(and sometimes a bulldozer Opteron)._ That is unlikely to be used for gaming. Still has a following though, especially in FOSS lovers.
For scientific application GPU _(whereby you might not need all the RAM and sometimes a BIOS-firmware flash on a GPU can let the VRAM be downgraded if some is borked or pilfered to donor-board another more need card, leaving the rest of the VRAM working fine albeit smaller)_don't rule out the OpenCL2.0 to 2.2 cards for they have _(with data-types too)_ the high precision Gaussian-double. For learning they can also help with some radiation technologies _(food or seed irradiating such as agriculture, edible-sales or fodder, or MRI spin factor and other radiation technologies of heat-vision-IR kinda ironically, considering the above text)_ and particle simulation. You can sometimes get away with underclocking _(including VRAM)_ for it.
My comment has no hate in it and I do no harm. I am not appalled or afraid, boasting or envying or complaining... Just saying. Psalms23: Giving thanks and praise to the Lord and peace and love. Also, I'd say Matthew6.
Nice ❤
the great deals are aplenty in the birthland of the sillicon
man gonna go there soon on the junk scrapyard too
Please post microphone name. Link doesn’t work in my region somehow
I like this junkyard content
This tech yes uploads
TYC - Thoughts on 2nd gen i7s? Especially the 2600 which is much cheaper than the 2700. Still worth it if cheap enough and best GPU pairings for uber budget bangers? - Also, is a small SSD (just for OS) and a large HDD still viable in cheap systems?
I mean... It all depends on the money and your local prices.
Where I live you're much much better off building something with an i3 10100
Hey Brian, what’s a better flip for you in QLD, a PC with a 3060ti and a R5 3600 or a PC with a 3060ti and a i7 8700k? What sort of money do you reckon the better of the two would sell for used in your neck of the woods cased us with the obligatory RGB goodness?
I think 8700k is faster but am4 got a better upgrade route
As a Taiwanese I honestly don't know where to find these parts here.....this is very interesting!
Also the inflation really did hit hard on us, especially on those daily food and supplies like eggs and meat.
what a deals you made
My guess is that you shy away from full machine buys since you have to pack it in your luggage. So you stick to cards and mobo and components.
Marco is a legend!!!
Thank you!
This is awesome. I would love to do a trip like this just once, but I'd never be able to convince my wife. 😁
Go without her. Lmao
You could arrange some local trips for your wife. Taipei is easy to hang out for most foreigners.
Remember when scrap yard were old care smelling of WD40 and oil 😮but going there would have me in my element😂
You’re looking really good Bry, been working out or ?
It's a tough life being a skip diver in a foreign land... but worth it for cheap mobos!
I'd be searching for VIA boards. I want a Nano X3 L4500 so bad! It was only made in an Acer desktop, as far as I know.
3:36 who knew Bryan was working on the chinese battleplan
Taiwan 🇹🇼 tho
In Jakarta, Indonesia. I can still score some great bargains including a working R7 360 for $5 and a RX 570 mining edition for $7
hi can i ask,do you do secret filming.and who is your camera person.cheers.oh and i love theses videos to.
I like this new tech yes genre where you go to another country and raid their scrapyards. A lot of h110ms in the wild today.
The GTX960 4gb was a steal!
Man, we would make one hell of a team TYC, it is literally painful seeing you not check out all those sweet pentium 4 and athlon64 rigs, I'd be all about them and not give 2 poops about the more modern gaming stuff, we'd clean house lol
4:31
Hi Dog So Cute
6:50
For a second there i thought Bryan had mastered the Asian Squat 🤔
I love the black dog
What do you even do with all the PC parts
Marko - confirmed!!!!
The lady from "Scrapyard 3" is rather pretty too!
4:42 🤣😂
Awesome video!!!
So nice to see people still do this but still equally depressing when a person is smart with their money vs a FOMO type group that will just call you a poor because you have a functioning brain in your head and smarter with your money then they are.
Otherwise awesome peak into what deals can be had. I have the same mindset, let someone else pay brand new prices. I will happily buy the same thing for a fraction of the price not long after.
As for CPU, I would pick at least a AMD Ryzen 1. Intel CPUs are power consuming, and the fan/heatsink combo can't detach without unscrewing the MB.
_Pops head out of a dumpster bin_ : ... now remember what I was saying about the M2 money supply?
Marco the silent hero.
Need to find Taiwanese Les, where's his alter ego....
In Indonesia, Intel Haswell Junk parts up to Core 10th generations are sold like hot cakes.
Someones Junk is always other's treasure !
hey great,. pre computex showcase.
It would seem you'd want to buy up ram, cause it is likely good and you wont find a cheaper price.
🎉🎉🎉
Taiwan the birth place of all motherboards
More and more you're becoming a "Rag & Bone" man :D
