Thanks for watching. Yes, ML has upped their game with the updates and new packs. I don't make any $ on them, so I hope to just share demos of the great sounds of all these sample companies. And getting views on my channel doesn't hurt ;)
Thanks for watching, and yes, ML Drums is a great value with relatively low cost and the quality you get. BFD is a classic as well, and some of those BFD libraries are so raw and real feeling, you can close your eyes and totally trick yourself.
@@NachoRF I dont think they have a specific TD17 midi map preset. I just went through the MIDI Mapping part, and I did "MIDI Learn." Are you familiar with Midi Learn? It's just clicking the red button next to each sound and striking whatever pad you want to trigger that sound. Do you already have your TD17 hooked up to your PC, and all that stuff, yet? They have the free demo you can use to get your edrums working with it, if you like. Note that they just released their edrum hihat functionality, where it works with your edrum's hihat pedal through CC data. On my TD17, I had issues with my hihat working properly with it (likely because Roland hihats use CC data differently than other edrum manufacturers). They are working on a fix. So I just used my Reaper plugin script that allows me to setup my edrum hihat how I like without needing the plugin to look at my pedal data. Check the video on my channel called "Make Your eDrum hihat work with any plugin." But if I were you, I would try it first, just using ML Drum's CC hihat functionality first and see if it works.
@@eDrumsandVSTs yes i am. My only issue is the hi hat mapping. I’ve tried Bogren and ggd and could never make it work right. Seems to work better with BFD and EZDrummer. Amazing channel my friend. Finally a drummer’s perspective drum libraries channel. I got sici of trying drum libraries for guitar players
@@NachoRF Thanks for watching and for your kind words. you can watch my getgood videos for how to do hihat setup on those, and the same system applies to Krimh. For instance, use the GetGood Dry and Funky video, in the last section, which is hihat setup -- should be extremely similar for other GGD and Krimh drums.
Hey man my pleasure, and I appreciate you being this channel's first "super" fan LOL but really, thank you! Next vid is comparison of ML drums free and the free Krimh drums. Then probably Hertz Metal Unlimited, then most likely Iguana Drums...which is my favorite "no one has really heard of it" drum VST. It's absolutely beautiful visually and its truly a unique VST, as it does some very cool things. And with over 100GB of samples covering about 6 snares, 4 or 5 toms and a few kicks plus cymbals....its got some big time deep-sample feel to it.
@@eDrumsandVSTs wow thanks lol. Yeah I love Edrums and vsts. Sums it up lol. You do a great job. No I never have heard of iguana drums now I'm curious. I will be watching
@@maidenmopar Yes they sound very good. I dont currently use affiliate links so I hope I dont come across as being too salesman-like. SD3 is amazing as well of course -- I love trying all these sample companies, as they each put a slightly different spin on drum sounds. Like different producer/engineers would record and mix the same song differently.

Maiden, what do you mean native stuff? ie Native Instruments? Ive been trying to finish editing this video, always takes longer than I estimate to edit! :D
@@eDrumsandVSTs yes it was NI for the red pack DS free drums. I got it working but then as I was mapping it said need full version for contact. I gave up on it I did get the Krimh drums tonight and I like them. I couldn't get the hi-hats working super good but it wasn't bad
@@maidenmopar Ah yes, i tried the red pack drum demo a while back, and I liked the sound. Absolutely useful and I'm amazed by how wonderful the sounds are

Just bought the Meld expansion because of your review! 😅
Well I'd say thats a great compliment! Im glad you found it useful!
Your channel is a life saver!
what a compliment! Thanks a bunch for your kind words and for watching. I have some cool plugins to show in the near future, stay tuned!
Amazing drum library.
I’ve used a lot of drum libraries and, in my opinion, BFD and ML drums are the best sounding.
