Love the "Liveness" of the sounds. Can't get that feel in Superior Drummer 3... Hope they could leave it at a more affordable price on Black Friday! I didn't understand the MIDI machine thing. It does recognize the backing track and it throws rhythms according to what's beign played?, like automatic recognition? Amazing reviews!.... I'm also a VST Drums obsessed dude, hehe
Thanks so much for nice words -- and yes it does feel "live" in a way many others do not. I agree, it would be great to see it go on sale. And the MIDI Machine thing -- basically it can either just follow the BPM setting in your DAW or you can use a certain key and just tap out the BPM on the fly. As for how it knows how to play, it doesnt -- it just allows you to press keys to make it play, say, "verse pattern 2" and "chorus pattern 4" or whatever. It plays in time because its following the BPM you set in your DAW project.
I was over the moon about MAD RockScore but wow this seems even better. Might be the very first drum library that doesn't have anything for me to complain about at least from my impression of your demo lol very nice!
Thanks for watching! Yes, great library. i am not an affiliate and they didnt pay me, although I did contact them for a review copy. Its just a cool library. I found it one night a long time ago while trying to find new sample libraries and it was hard to find, considering the quality and production value of it. Some people will balk at the large size, but they do offer a smaller size option. One small complaint is that I dont think the UI can be resized...so it can be smallish on some screens, particularly the IR room settings.
@@eDrumsandVSTs I figured it out. If it was the Christmas one I chose it was okay for kids and that automatically turns the comments off I didn't know. Hope you had a great Christmas.
@@maidenmopar Ah i see -- I was thinking you were getting shy all the sudden. LOL. Yes I had a great one, thank you, and I hope you and your family did too.
I'm blown away by the realism of this drums bank. Maybe my endless quest for a realistic bank that sounds according to my tastes is coming to an end? Will try it for sure :)
Thanks for the comment -- yes, I call it the supercar of drum libraries. It's the biggest in file size, number of samples, etc. Most people will probably prefer something like the standard libraries, but this is for those who want that highest level of realism, sound quality and configurability. Reminds me of Superior Drummer in some ways like sample depth, although Superior Drummer has better e-drum support and expandability with all the addons you can get.
@@eDrumsandVSTs My first impressions are really positive. Really awesome sound! I think better than any bank of S3 (and I've got many S3 banks). But you're right, the edrum kit integration is not as good as S3, ad2 or other major edrums banks. For eg, the HH support is only linked on positive cc4 with no reverse options. I was forced to make a little ksp script to properly map notes based on cc4 (if needed i can provide it 😉). Not a big deal because the overall sound is so incredible! Love it!
Indeed, 'an endless quest for a realistic bank'. The ultimate holy grail is hard to find and when bought you always hear other sounds than on YT or in the demo's...
@@Ludo_Asure, you're right. But this bank is so good that I'm still stuck in, recorded 2 albums with, and currently mixing another one with 😅 It's incredible how realistic the bank is when properly setup.
Any snare-wires off or tom rim articulations? It's always frustrating to hear how a drum library is 'deeply sampled' but they miss options that are sort of integral to approaching the drum kit as a holistic experience.
I love your way of thinking. I do think this particular lib is worthy of "deep sampled" but as for snares-off and tom rims, its got snare rim clicks, but not tom rims. I think BFD3 would be good for you as those libs have lots of rim clicks, snares off and on and lots of raw samples
@@eDrumsandVSTs I've looked at BFD3 for a while, but keep coming across reviews saying that the program itself is buggy, broken and problems with the licenser (everybody generally praises the sound/samples, though). Makes me a little wary of it, to be honest. What's been your experience with the software?
@@lienmartin2452 honestly the only issue is the licenser app -- I've not had any bugs other than that, and that doesn't happen that often. And BFD Player uses the same system, it looks to me, and i haven't had any issues yet at all with BFD Player. I cant guarantee anything, but i think most of those authentication issues were from a year+ ago

Wow, these are some of the best drum samples I have ever heard. As good as anything I have heard out there. How come I'd not more well known?!?
I agree, very deeply sampled. I suppose the company never really advertised it as much as some others do.
