Another great video! I made it up Air Line & down Valley Way this past weekend for Adams & Madison for #29 & 30 NH48. The elevation gain and ruggedness over 4500' is real. Brutal rocks up there. The spot on Air Line along the upper junction of Chemin Des Dames is such a spectacular view across the ravine. I'm no fan of crazy heights, but didn't find Air Line at all terrifying, despite being a T25 elective. The 'terrifying' part is more wondering where all those damn sharp rocks came from! :) Great work, keep hiking!
Working with copyrights, etc. I was having trouble finding stuff that just kind of fit the vibe, but I’m glad you stuck around through the music to see the actual content I put out because I do put my heart and soul into trying to put out the greatest hiking content
You take the concept of "sending it" to an entirely EPIC new level, and have a freaking blast in the process... THIS IS SO AWESOME! (And holy crap, thanks for risking life and limb to capture this beast of a hike on video... I mean, this is just so cool I don't think I have enough superlatives to describe it.)
Hahahaah thanks so much man!! I just had to capture all of it. It was so visually interesting and amazing and fun. My favorite footage was the climb up great gully in the pouring rain
You’re doing this route with all the snow still on the mountains? I hope you have an ax and crampons. I wouldn’t recommend it this time of year but what do I know 🤷🏻♂️
Oh hell yeah man. Believe it or not the scariest part was in the subway with the wet rocks with an almost equal amount of scariness Climbing certain sections of the great golf in the pouring rain. Lol
In a few weeks I’m going to attempt A hut to hut Traverse In under 24 hours with my friend and will most likely post Instagram stories along the way. Updates at each hut at least to let you know how I’m feeling along the way. If you’re not familiar it’s 54 miles and 18,000 feet of elevation gain. I’ve hiked 53 miles before and I’ve hiked 11,000 feet of elevation gain but this one’s a bit more than anything I have ever done And probably the most I will ever do but I learned to never say never
The next morning I did all of the terrifying 25 trails on Mount Jefferson. There was four of them. We also got our moneys worth on that day as well. I’ll be posting that blog next week that one is also worth the watch.
Madison - 1 mandatory Adams - 4 Mandatory. 1 Elective Jefferson - 4 Mandatory Washington - 2 There may be some other electives in the presidential but I’m not aware of them without the list in front of me
We are planning to do Huntington this weekend but doesn’t look like the weather is going to be doable. Unfortunately Huntington Hass to be done on a perfect dry day
Love the hike. Gonna do that as part of my week trek up there this year. Thanks for the inspiration. Dumb question, where did you get the water bottles/carriers for your shoulder straps. Everything i find is belt mount but i have extra clips on my pack that make me think i could throw them on mine.
Did you do this on July 13? because I did Madison gulf trail that day and the weather was very similar (rainy and windy). Either way awesome filming this looks like a very challenging trail!
If it looked good I probably filmed it.. if I only filmed three then there’s a good chance it was only three or three dramatic enough to film so I’d say 3-5 is safe
You won’t find it on AllTrails because I drew it as a custom map but I’ll try sending you my link…. www.alltrails.com/explore/recording/afternoon-hike-5c22590--155?p=-1
Love it man. The way it goes from relatively clear and you can literally see the cloud/fog come from behind and change the landscape. These are the things that make hiking amazing. Great stuff my friend. Im hoping to do Adams sunday. Interested to see your thoughts on Jefferson, I loved it. You go up Caps?
I did all of the trails on Jefferson the day after this one. I’m going to post that one exactly a week from today. Jefferson was fucking amazing as well. Literally all of the terrifying 25s on Jefferson and Adams are the reason why I changed my decision from liking the whites better than the Adirondacks now
@@BrianHikesAllDay You’re an animal hahaha. 100%, The Whites are probably underrated. They offer a little piece of everything. I havent touched the Adirondacks yet. I got a taste for this a year ago and my entire life changed. Youll have to give me some recommendations on the Adirondacks, I tend to go solo. Maybe ill get lucky when you’re there and you can hold my hand haha. Keep the videos coming brother. Love it.
Crazy Hike! Wow , that looks amazing! Do you find your calves hurting more and or achilles from the zero drop altras? Thinking about getting the altra Olympus 4 .
I’m currently dealing with a Achilles’ heel issue from trail running down some treacherous terrain.. it’s really my fault for injuring it but statistically speaking I’ve never had Achilles’ heel issues before until I switched to Altras.. injuries and all I will never stop wearing that shoe because it’s the most amazing shoe I’ve ever worn in my life.. eventually my Achilles will probably adjust. But right now it’s popping lol
@@BrianHikesAllDay Oh man! Not sure if i can switch to altras then, I can see them causing Achilles issues, love the toe box its a shame all companies dont have foot shaped shoes . Rest that Achilles.
@@BrianHikesAllDay Ha! You need to get into backpacking! Waking up on the edge of a very remote pond Ahhhhhh. I have tried so many hiking shoes and cant find any that are comfortable, might try Olympus. Which altras do you have, Lone peak?

@@BrianHikesAllDay thanks for the candor and honesty! Any trail of the “25” you think I could handle? I’ve done all sorts of hikes but since moh ACL injury been trying to be more cautious than normal!

great content! i did parts of that hike in my younger days :) With all that rain- would be scary!

I love hiking in the gnarliest weather within reason. I don’t hike summits during thunderstorms or if it’s below -50 hahaha
Great job! You guys killed it. I attempted this one back in June and was unsuccessful. Thanks for motivating me to go back and complete it.
did you complete it?
