One of the few rare times he was ever thinking clearly.
I love how selective Hyde is about his advice. He knows Kelso's concern is pointless so he says he doesn't care and stops it right away, while he focused on Eric's concern because he knows how Eric genuinely felt about Donna. Of course he's sarcastic here but he doesn't try to get Eric to self-sabotaged like he does with Kelso and we all know what he does at the end.

It irritated me how everyone made him feel stupid for initially rejecting her. The writers really messed up with this one.
