Conceptually, it wasn't a bad idea. After all, it makes sense that sleeping around as much as Kelso did would eventually catch up with him. He was bound to end up with a kid or STD eventually, and seeing him become a dad could've been a good storyline. I think the issue was that it was treated like too much of a secondary plot, then just disappeared for the most part, outside of a handful of episodes.
