This must have been one of the best performances in Hell's Kitchen ever. Very small and few mistakes, usually even by the end there are bound to still be a few big or medium-big mistakes, but not this one. Also big respect for JP for stalling the table of 12 ladies, he managed to stall them so the kitchen could catch up to all the orders, this episode shows how smoothly everything can be if you work as a team and not just amongst the chefs, but the waiters and waitresses too.

Actually the very first US version of Hell's Kitchen was not as extreme as the later seasons are now. And I clearly remember more high 5's from Ramsay, and not as much screaming either. It's clear when you watch it now, Fox execs. have their hands D E E P in the mix with pushing drama on Hell's Kitchen. Sound effects for when someone blinks or turns their head. I mean, it's ridiculous. And the first season wasn't so over the top with all the unnecessary junk thrown in. Imagine a Hell's Kitchen episode with no music, no sound effects. The execs. think the ratings would plummet if it weren't for all the great stuff they just have to add.

I think it's because he was abused by his father, he now feels the urge to act that way towards others to make himself feel better. So it's not just about ratings. He is a deeply troubled man.

Majority of chefs, especially when it comes to fine dining or high standards, are very hot headed. They will yell, they will insult, and they will scream. That is how a chef works. Because not only is it their name on the line, but one fuck up can kill somebody if unlucky. There is no time to be nice or caring during a service. A kitchen is a high pressure area to work in, because you have to cook things correctly, and quickly. Of course he's going to yell and scream when someone makes a mistake.
Also, just so you're aware, he never gets this bad with his own chefs. Why? Because they're already able to cook just fine. Of course he might still get heated at them, but nothing compared to this. Majority of chefs on here can't even cook basics, yet they're serving food to people. It's extremely dangerous.
